Don't buy any
products from Leather Gift Items. This is a complete rip off. I bought a leather
brief case and the material it was made out of was atrocious. The briefcase fell
apart soon after I got it. I tried contacting the company to express my
displeasure but the lady that I got on the phone, I believe it was the owner,
was so condescending and offensive that I couldnt deal with her and just hung
up. Stay away from buying anything from them!

Untrue Report by Competitor - Intent to Slander

We have recently contacted this slanderous ripoffreport company to demand an investigation into this obvious untrue report about our company. Even the most unreasonable reader can see that the report just doesn't make sense. First, we have a return policy, second, we offer 5 years, up to a lifetime manufacturer warranty on all of our products. We asked the ripoffreport company to prove identity of this person, which they could not, as it is obviously made up, and the person has not produced a bill of sale, an order number or even slim facts to substantiate this claim. Think about it, if you purchased a high end leather item from a company and it "fell apart", would you accept anything else but a refund, and at the very least a replacement? If this report was true, would you be happy to just write a report on this site, versus going to the BBB and getting satisfaction? The whole report, we feel is designed, perhaps by a competitor to slander our company. The Ripoffreport company, appropriate named, does not verify identity, and frankly uses this forum to extort money from companies like ours, to the tune of $2k, to enter a statement above the report, that they have found it to be untrue, yet they won't remove the slanderous untrue report. Further, they then bombard you with emails to pay their attorneys to make this report be moved down in search results. They also makes lots of dollars on this kind of false reporting by placing Adsense ads on every post. Also the posts are formatted to use your company name/URL in the first title to slander you and make sure they come up in search results and earn more Google dollars. We refuse to be extorted. Know that we value our customers and treat them like gold. We feel this is a made-up slander attempt from an on-line competitor. We will be watching to see if our post will actually be published. This company ripoffreport should be taken off search results, as it does not help the web, as no information is verified, identities are even made up, with illegal underpinnings for extortion.

We do not have a sale from a Rick Smith in 2011 or ever. If this person is making claim on behalf of another person, kindly let us know the real name and email address of the claimant, otherwise, we view this as a slanderous, unfounded claim. Slander is taken seriously by our honest company and will take action to the poster of this claim automatically, if no valid ID to a sale is provided.
