I worked with/for Lee for a couple of years. The phone number listed on the complaint with area code 303 is still valid to reach Lee on his cell phone. His hat business folded after 15 years but he has reopened under a new name in Denver, Colorado. He is now Crossfire Hats and can be found at Crossfire Hats (dot) com. I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from anyone prior to anymore posts on this website. Please call him if you have a complaint or need your hat delivered. Some of the back orders were returned as customers had moved without notification or forwarding address.

I have spoken with Lee and it seems that James is the actual customer that ordered and paid for this hat. Merri is a FORMER girlfriend of James and, according to a conversation I had with James today, he was unaware that Merri had posted this claim on the internet. I mailed James his hat on August 6th 2007. I have the original order form, a USPS receipt, as well as a picture of the hat I shipped to prove this. In the future, perhaps a simple phone call to the business owner would prevent false accusations on the internet and other miscommunications involving THIRD PARTIES. Business owners and especially small businessmen must work very hard to keep their customers happy and count on their referrals to keep business growing. This one complaint does not account for the 1,000's of happy customers as well as celebrities Lee has worked with, several owning over a dozen of his hats! It is unfortunate that there were extreme circumstances; including an accident that wiped out his hat shop, all his tools and his inventory in early May. This prevented Mr Hole from getting his hat in the timeframe promised but all efforts were made to speak with James on the phone and work out a mutually satisfying solution. We shipped him his hat as soon as it was completed, as agreed. P.S. Lawsuit is being filed regarding the accident. It was another individual's fault. No one has compensated Lee for nearly $20,000 in losses. Lee had to start from scratch and rebuilt his business on his own from the ground up! We are getting back on track and ship on average 2-3 hats a day now.
