Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

i talked to a person or telemarketer with this lawyers office about my personal loan info...that was my first mistake.  the guy said he could get me a loan modification and said my principle amount of my loan could be lessened.  they were going to charge me 2750. in the end, i gave him my credit card info, but i did not sign anything and i did not sign the credit card statement.  i did not know they were going to charge my card.  so i had checks for bills bouncing everywhere because they charged my account.  then when i tried to call them, some guy , a manager i guess,  got on the phone with me and all he cared about was telling me how he was going to help me. i tried for 15 minutes to tell him that i wanted my money back.  he kept trying to argue with me and trying to sell me on what agreat thing he was doing for me.  my nsf's cost me more than 100.  then i heard from another company who told me that they could help me and wouldn't charge me upfront.  big difference.

just know that if they get your credit information that you'll likely be charged so be ready.  it just seems that the guy was trying so hard to push me into it, to sell me on his idea even though i could not afford to take a chance  that it really started to make me nervous.

In response to the poster of this review;

It is illegal in most states for anyone other than an attorney to charge an upfront fee for representing you in a modification. Our clients are retaining counsel for representation through the modification process.

We work with clients all around the country. Because many of our clients are not local, we are what they call a "card not present" business with merchant services meaning signatures are not required as with many businesses you pay over the phone. When clients retain us, they give us a payment over the phone. If you released your credit card information to us over the phone, you were giving us a down payment. If you were feeling pushed by an administrator, I apologize, it is not our policy to "push" homeonwers into retaining us. We do not have a sales staff, only Administrators that qualify homeowners and explain the benefits of retaining us. I am sure the Administrator you spoke with just wanted to explain to you that we could truely help you in retaining your home. Your money was returned to you. I am sorry if you had the feeling of being "pushed".

Again, many of the people we speak with on a daily basis are already in a highly emotional state. It is a very stressful time for people when trying to find who to trust and who to turn to in helping save thier home. We understand and treat homeowners with the compassion and consultation they deserve. Our firm has helped hundreds of families bring down their mortgage payment and keep thier home. We have been in good standing for almost 40 years with the bar. Again, we apoligize if you felt their was any other intention behind the information other than helping your family through it's crisis. I extend an invitation to you to speak with me about this situation if you need.
