Complaint Review: legends kennel - Constantia New York

The person who is presumed to make such claims has utilized several tools of the internet and social media in an attempt to cause undue harm to this business.

We are adopting our 2nd puppy from Legends Malamutes and Marcy sets the bar high for breeders. I wish all breeders were forced to follow her ethics in the dog breeding world. Yes, force others to do what she does willingly. I volunteer for animal shelters and you see a lot of horrible breeders.

Marcy is a wonderful person. We did not just adopt Malamute puppies. We joined a family of many other Legends Mal owners. Something of which I never dreamed of, but am so happy to be a part of this extended family.

Before you take this negative review of this business to hold any truth, just ask other Legend's Malamute owners. These pups are healthy, strong, and wonderful dogs. My husband and I did extensive research, talked to several breeders, prior to adopting our first Mal. I can tell you, Marcy is impressive in comparison to the other breeders.

The other breeders we spoke to, yeah, it was just a money thing. Legends Mal pups are well cared for and it shows! Legend's dogs don't end up in shelters. They are loved and cared for, for the rest of their lives by this breeder. And the proof is in the pup!

I've been involved with dogs my entire life and you know when you have a dog who has been loved as a pup and when they have been mistreated. I rescued a puppy mill pup and after 5 years, his horrible beginnings still impede his life socially. So yes, how a puppy is treated makes a difference as they grow up.

My experience with Legends has been nothing shy of wonderful. It is from my interactions with Legends, other owners of Legends pups, and our own dogs that lead me to conclude this negative review is a big steaming pile of manure!

The owner of Legends recently contacted me to find out why I would make such a report and not knowing anything about her kennel.

The report made in my name is a fake to obviously hurt the owner of this kennel.

After speaking with Legends Giant Mals owner I can report that this is a reputable breeder with knowledge, passion and a love of her Mals and all animals.

The legal documentation failed to post with my original response so I'm posting it again.  There must be a limit to photos per response as several were not included. However I am reposting to include the legal documentation.

***This response is from Marcy, co-owner of Legends. ***The above posted complaint claiming to be about an experience with me and my dogs is 100% false and was posted using a stolen identity by a very jealous and unstable breeder. ***The true author of this report is Vicky Deming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes. Vicky Deming has harassed my family and Legends since 2012 when a family made the choice they’d rather be a family to a Legend’s pup then one of her pups. Vicky does not only harass Legends, she harasses other breeders and most sadly she harasses, attacks, and threatens her very own puppy families. The identity Vicky stole for the purpose of this false post is one of her very own puppy families. This puppy family has had to take legal action against Vicky Deming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes due to her harassment, attacks, and threats. Please see the attached legal documentation provided to me by THE REAL LUANN JOHNSON to Vicky Deming from Luann’s attorney, due to Vicky Deming’s harassment, attacks, and threats. I am posting this legal documentation with the permission of Luann Johnson. ***I spoke over the phone yesterday May 30, 2016 extensively with Luann and together we decided that we will be following through with further legal action against Vicky Deming due to her identity theft of Luann Johnson’s identity in placing this false post, which includes violating the terms set forth by Luann’s attorney to Vicky, and the defamation of myself and Legends on this site as well as several other sites using different names but posting the same false story. ***Vicky Deming not only posts false complaints against other breeders and her very own puppy families, she also devotes endless hours to creating false accounts in order to post glowing reviews of herself on rating websites. ***Luann was completely unaware that Vicky had made this false post and was updating it using Luann’s name until through investigating we were finally able to get in touch with each other. ***I also apologized to Luann for the presumptive post from one of my puppy families and breeder friends defending my reputation against these horrific lies accusing Luann of being in cohorts with Vicky, when that is clearly 100% not the case. ***I may be updating this post with more information in the future based upon attorney advice. ***Legends has an impeccable reputation and top quality dogs that we have worked endlessly into our 3rd through 5th generation bloodline to produce healthy, excellent tempered, and HUGE Alaskan Malamute puppies and dogs. I’ll use 1 puppy as an example from my most current litter. I post newborn pics through when the baby ventures from our home to their new furever home. I also post numerous pics of the whole litter on my Legends Marcy facebook page. I’ll include a few of those from this same current litter, again just as an example of how many pictures I post on my website as well as facebook. This doesn’t even include the extra pictures and videos I send directly to my families or manage to get on our YouTube channel time permitting. We at Legends are top notch and yes, we’ve worked very hard to be top notch and we are very proud of that.

I am so saddened to see this completely false and malicious report posted against such an incredible breeder and such wonderful people. Yes, I am a friend of Legends, just as I’m sure the other posters are friends of Legends as well. Why? Simple, Legends keeps up with their pups and the families that have them and over time friendships form. I am so thankful not only for my wonderful boy from Legends but also for the wonderful friendship I’ve come to have with Marcy, who happens to be one of the most kindest and knowledgeable malamute breeders I’ve come across. Marcy has been a mentor to me for the last 3 years and has helped me fulfill my own dream of breeding Alaskan Malamutes of top quality. I have learned so much from her that I could not even begin to convey the wealth of knowledge this woman possesses to anyone reading this posting. Unfortunately, due to upcoming litigation against Luann Johnson in regards to this original posting by her for libel and defamation (because this posting by Luann Johnson is 100% a lie), Marcy is unable to respond due to advice from their attorney. So, I knew in my heart I had to take a stand publicly that she is currently unable to take. Luann Johnson who posted this completely false report did so in conjunction with another breeder whom apparently feels extremely threatened by Legends high quality puppies and dogs, impeccable reputation, and true devotion to the breed. This other breeder is Vicky Demming with a kennel name of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes. Luann Johnson has an Alaskan Malamute from this breeder and based upon the lengths she’s willing to go to for the breeder of her dog by posting these lies and facing severe legal implications because of it, obviously a very good friendship formed there too between her and her breeder. Difference in friendships being Marcy would never ask someone to do something so malicious. I, myself, thanks to Legends, breed high quality Alaskan Malamutes, and because I am also a breeder I am unable to put my identity on this post for fear that the malicious Luann Johnson & Vicky Demming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes would post lies about my kennel as well. If you search for complaints on here and elsewhere, there isn’t too many Alaskan Malamute breeders that you won’t find complaints against. Are they true? Maybe! Are they posted by another malicious breeder or person? Maybe! You have to be the judge. Anyone can write anything on the internet and that doesn’t make it true. If you’re researching for a quality Alaskan Malamute puppy from an incredible breeder who goes above and beyond ANY expectations and backs their lines 100%, go to Legends. Call them! Talk to them! Go visit them! Visit their dogs, because yes, they actually do let you visit their dogs, if you so choose. If 3 years ago I had come across this post I’d have probably thought it had some merit, but I still would have called them because I am knowledge enough to know that nasty people do nasty things for no other reason then because they are nasty people. Luann Johnson and Vicky Demming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes are just those kind of people. You know the nasty ones, the ones who post lies for no reason other then to be nasty. Being a mindless sheep and just believing the ridiculousness of this post would have been a huge loss for me. I wouldn’t have my wonderful boy or my incredible friend and mentor. Friend request Marcy on her personal facebook page. Look at all the posts from all her wonderful pup homes and gorgeous babies for yourself. You’ll even see mine ;-) Luann, shame on you for being such a malicious, lying, sheep for Vicky. I hope she’ll at least pay your upcoming legal expenses. I did also see someone who replied mention that she didn’t even have the correct phone number nor payment amount nor know anything about how Legends places their beautiful babies. Absolutely correct. Luann knows nothing of how Legends places their pups. Please Luann, share your full story, show your proof, don’t just write your lies. When did this fake incident occur? Remember everything you post is going straight to the court so think wisely!! In conclusion, Legends is awesome. Talk to them, you’ll agree. Talk to anyone on their facebook who has their pups they’ll let you know how awesome Legends is. Join the group Giant Alaskan Malamute Addicts, there are a lot of Legends puppy families in that group. Let Luann Johnson know you don’t appreciate her lies for her unethical breeder Vicky Demming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes. I’m including some screen shots from Luann’s page showing that her malamute Balto came from Vicky. She also has numerous other dogs as you can see by her profile. Her malamute from Vicky participates in a lot of “commercial photo shoots” and has his own Fcebook page. It doesn’t appear that Luann was even looking for another malamute, not to mention WHY would she go to a different breeder for a pup when her great awesome Balto came from Vicky. Wouldn’t a logical person conclude if in fact she had wanted another puppy she would have returned to her friend, her good friend that she posted these lies for, Vicky Demming of Enchanted Dreams Alaskan Malamutes?? Things that make you go hmmm……………….Legends Rocks!! Truly!! DON’T FORGET TO SEE THE ATTACHMENT SCREEN SHOTS OF LUANN’S FACEBOOK SHOWING THE PROOF.

She tries to sell deformed animals who have been hurt!  She won't show anyone the adults.  Just pictures anyone can take from the internet!  She is a liar and a fraud!

Kept out money when we went to pick up out puppy!  She should have told us the puppy was deforrmed to begin with!  She said the mother chewed its ear off.  Next time tell people in advance!  And refund our money now!

I don't know who your are but I suspect you are one of Marcy's friends trying to make her 'look good.'  I'm sorry but to take my money and never tell me the puppy's ear was chewed off by the mother dog is in fact BS!  She kept our money and we want a refund!  False advertising is only the begining of what and who she is.  Legends Malamutes is nothing more than a scammer and mill

I am responding to the above bit of fiction (as it is by far the most made up story I have ever read) as the proud Mom of 2 Legends Malamutes.  

The author of the above has obviously never dealt with Legends Kennel as they have posted the incorrect phone number for Legends, the wrong amount of the down payment they supposedly lost, and the contract that you must sign when you pick up your puppy states that as long as you have the dog seen by a vet within an agreeable amount of time Legends gives you a health guarantee for 2 Years!  No Way they would send you home with a sick puppy! 

This kennel posts copious amounts of pictures of each puppy from the day they are born to the time you pick up your dog.  (A missing ear would have been evident quite early and would have garnered many questions from this potential adoptive parent!)  I was even forwarded extra pictures of my newest malamute WHENEVER I requested them.

This Kennel also keeps a puppy past the 8 week normal "take home" date as Marcy and Ron make sure that each individual dog is completely ready to be sent home with their new parents.

Since getting our first Malamute from Legends I have constantly keep track of the litters that the Kennel has produced through their website.  As someday I had hoped to get another Legends puppy as the first has grown into such a beautiful well-behaved dog.  It is quite easy to keep track of your puppy and the others as Marcy posts many many pictures of the new puppies from the day they are born to the time they are adopted (from every angle and vantage point).  I have never seen a puppy without an ear - or any sickly or distressed dog. On the contrary, ALL the dogs look happy, healthy and well taken care of.  

Check your facts before you post something like this... wrong phone number... wrong deposit amount... statement of unhealthy puppy...because if the most basic information that anyone can check is wrong nothing else you write is going to be believed either.  SHAME ON YOU!

 This complaint makes no sense whatsoever based on the experience I had with Marcy and Legends Giant Alaskan Malamutes. When I researched for a breeder when getting a mal pup, I found Legends to be quite knowledgeable and very willing to answer any and all questions I had. I was especially pleased with the fact they posted weekly videos and picture updates of the litter so you could follow and fall in love with your puppy as it grew while you where waiting to bring it home. I was happy that the pups were being raised in their home, with the family to be socialized. ....and it paid off....my Nikki is not only beautiful, but has the best temperment, is healthy and happy. We saw many pictures of the parents. Marcy has continued to be available for any questions we might have and has a forever interest in the health and happiness of Nikki. I consider Marcy and Legends to be a very professional, caring breeder with the upmost concern for the mals. They have beautiful dogs and breed beautiful pups.....and not very many litters....so it is pure bull to say they are a puppymill.

 Luann Johnson: where on earth did you come up with this story? If you ACTUALLY went to the Legends Giant Malamute webpage, you would see the available puppies Marcy has as well as the parents of said puppies. If you looked the teeniest bit further, you would see 'puppies' Marcy has bred in their new homes. You would definitely see my THREE gorgeous, well behaved, even tempered Malamutes AND you would see their parents AND you would see that they all had their EARS!! I had lots of contact with both Marcy and Ron.

They are wonderful people that truley care about their dogs. Marcy even allowed my husband and I to hold a 2 week old puppy just to see how tiny they start out. How dare you make up such awful lies!! Who exactly are you helping here? If you actually cared about the puppy you allegedly went to pick up, you would have notified the proper authorities immediately, if you were a decent human being that is. I recommend Marcy and Ron to anyone that is interested in the beautiful Alaskan Malamute. You, Luann Johnson, aren't worthy of the recomendation or the beautiful animal.

 I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my life.... I can't believe that anyone would purchase a pup from a breeder without seeing a picture before hand. How would you even know you were interested. I know for a fact that Marcy always give weekly updates on your new baby you are purchasing!! I have one of Marcy's beautiful pups, she is very healthy, loving,smart and very laid back... When I purchased my jade, I went directly to her and personally had no problems with seeing the mother and father of her... Marcy is one of the most well established, caring , loving breeders that I have ever known and would purchase another pup off her in a minute.... Would recommend her to anyone !! Jade is beautiful!! Would not trade her for the world!! And Marcy is only breeder I would trust !
