Their 30 Day Return policy is pretty solid. Granted, I can understand that you were not happy with the glasses your family picked out for you, but that is their standard policy and usually are pretty firm about it. What your family should have done was purchased a gift certificate from that store and allowed you to pick out the glasses you wanted when you returned from your trip. As far as your daughter is concerned, the reason why they probably let your daughter pick a different frame was that they probably did not have a new frame in the store to replace the one she broke. Lenscrafters will usually replace the frame with a new one from their inventory. However, there are situations where the store may not have the frame in stock or it has been discontinued altogether. In these situations, the company will allow you to pick a new frame to replace your damaged one under your warranty @ 50% of the cost, as long as the new frame price doesnt exceed what the retail price of the original frame picked.
