Leonard Weinberg has been harrassing me and my wife. Ten years ago my wife moved out of an apartment on short notice because her mother was gravely ill and needed her help. She forfieted her $500 deposit because she was only able to give a two week notice. The rent was only $800 per month. My wife lived there four 14 months and was never late on rent. She was unaware of a civil judgment for $620. I met my wife three years ago. We have been married for 18 months now. Leonard Weinberg has been calling me, and telling me I need to pay a bill of $3760 or he will make my life misserable. He sais it is now my debt because I "married a person who doesn't pay her bills." He says he is currently researching my past to see if I have any unpaid bills. He says he will contact the creditors and assist them in recovering fees plus lots of interest and his attorney fees. My neighbor has told me there was a man snooping around in my storage shed located in my back yard. I dont know if this was acrually Weinberg, because I have never seen him in person. But, this man was driving a brand new Lexus. Weinberg continues to call me and threaten me that if I dont pay him, "things are going to get a lot worse". What does this mean? This is a greedy man that digs up unfortunate events in peoples past, then turns a small debt into a monster debt because of his outragous attorney fees. I am trying to contact other people he has harrassed. I have found a list of them with Ventura Co civil courts. I have tried to reason with this man but he tells me there will be no comprimise. He claims he used to be a cop and the judges will favor him because of this. I feel my personal life has been invaded without just cause. Unfortunately, we lost our chance to dispute the request he made for money judgement, because we were never notified of this court hearing. He lied to the courts by saying we were served by standard mail. This is completely untrue. We would of went to court forsure!!
