Letstalk.com Unauthorized deduction from account for undeactivated phone line San Francisco, CA San Francisco California
I bought two AT&T phones from Letstalk.com. Everthing seemed to have gone smoothly, except that one of the SIM cards was expired. Three months later, I received an email that $150 had been deducted from my account for allegedly cancelling one of the phone lines.
I called AT&T to find out if there was a problem, and they confirmed no such notice was sent to Letstalk.
After a harrowing hour on the phone of insisting that AT&T be contacted immediately, during which I had to insist on talking ot a supervisor, Letstalk called AT&T to confirm the line was never deactivated. I was promised a refund within 24 hours.
Checking my account two days later, Letstalk had, in fact, decuted $250, not $150, and had not refunded me.
I called again, this time they said an investigation was being conducted. They put me on hold again, as I insisted I must speak to a supervisor. The supervisor called AT&T again and came back to say I would get a refund.
My questions about why they had to call AT&T the second time, or why my money was still being held were not answered reasonably. They could not produce any evidence that AT&T notified them of any account cancellation.
I now had to wait for 7 days for their account department to return my stolen money, making 9 days total, without any evidence they would actually go ahead with the refund.
Customer service is rude, non-chalant, uncultured, unpolished and familiar with angry customers. They lie and try other ways in which they have been trained to delay or deny.
In my life, I have never felt more helpless. These are bold-faced, brazen liars who dip their hands into consumers' pockets and get away with it.
My account with Letstalk is 7573319.
I will start a web site just to tackle letstalk.com, and help other people like me who are now at the mercy of this scammer called Letstalk because it has their debit/credit card numbers.
Meanwhile, I need my money back from letstalk.com.
