LFG LEASING COMPANY The company LFG had been deducting $93.00 out of my account for the past 10 years for a terminal I have sent back years ago. Chicago, Illinois
Ten years ago a salesmen from Concord EFS came into my restaurant to try to sell me a new credit card machine as well as a new company to go with. I read his contract and it said month to month lease. I showed this part to the salesman and he said yes only for 12 months then it is a 0ne dollar buy out and the machine would be ours. I said I did not want to lease anything I would rather buy it out right, and he said that is what I was doing, so I agreed.
Well after one year the terminal broke I called my company and they said send it back to us and we will send you a new one. So I bought the other one they sent me out right and the company sent me a box and a mailing label to mail it back to them. After 3 accountants I looked at my statement and could not believe LFG is still taking my money for a machine I sent back years ago. To be exact over 11,000 dollars. I called them and they said I was suppose to call and cancel the lease after one year and if I want it stopped I will have to pay them another $488.00 I was furious ,I said okay I do not mind paying for what I signed on for, I will pay you the $488.00 when you give me back my $11,000. Now no one told us to do that and the salesmen is no longer working with concord efs.
Now I never checked the address to the box they sent me it could of said lfg or concord efs and both say they cant track it. But I assumed it would go back directly to the company. i will have to turn my life upside down and close my account which has alot of activity and is my link to running my business. I need some help and I am going to contact my lawyer, and would appreciate anyone with any advice. This is driving me crazy!!! I never even knew a leasing company was involved.
