Liberty Tax Who in the World Charges $454 to do a Simple Tax Return? Dalton, Georgia
All I had was a simple tax return. I had two W-2's and 1 dependent. The tax person told me I would get back alittle over $2K and that if I wanted the rapid refund it would cost a bank fee of $61. I said that was fine. I got a call saying I wasnt approved for the rapid refund so the $61 would be put back in my refund. I was fine with that. I got my federal back and it was short by $454!! I called and spoke with the manager and she talked so much junk I couldnt get a word in. She was throwing numbers in everywhere trying to confuse me. She did a good job I must say. She said that I was only charged $382 (as if thats any better) but when I asked where the other $72 was she couldnt give me a straight answer. She said something about bank fees. I finally got a word in and told her that my mom went to H&R Block and was only charged $250 with 3 dependents and she said that was strange because they go around to the major companies like that and compare prices so theres is the lowest one around. I told her she talked to much for me and that I would check my tax papers myself. Apparently I'm writing this so what I found didnt match up to what she said. Liberty Tax is a Rip-Off. I will never ever go back to them and I would recommend noone else does either.
