I went to the Waltham office back in November 2005. I sat through the presentation with Donna and seemed impressed with it. She was very professional and seemed to answer most of my questions. I thought it was interesting that you could go back to work the next day (according to their presentation and the procedure would only take 1 hr) I was turning50 in February and thought it would be a nice gift to myself.

Donna seemed a bit aggressive to get my $300.00 deposit and assured me I would be seeing the doctor prior to my appointment for the surgery. I asked Donna if I could

cancel the appointment and she informed me I could cancel prior to 30 days from original appt. I had an appt set to see the doctor within 30 days of my original appt. Donna had left a message on my voicemail to reschedule. I called back and asked about the cancellation policy. (at that time I didn't want to do this and spoke to a couple of other women who had it done and complained about numbness.

I went to visit one of them ....after 3 weeks and she said she wasn't happy and wished she had never done it)

I never had the procedure done and I asked about the refund policy for my original $300.00 deposit. I made at least 10 phone calls during a 2 week period and I finally got in touch with Donna. She had told me I could not get a refund since it had been over 30 days. I mentioned that she was the one originally who had cancelled my appointment with the doctor. She bascially told me I signed the contract and I would not get my $300.00 returned.

As I look back I am fortunate I did not have this procedure done and it will be a lesson learned not to go the cheap route for something that could affect the way you look. Ladies be careful and please look into this

before taking the plunge.

Lifestyle Lift--Dangerous Company

#2Consumer Comment

Fri, July 04, 2008

I was considering having the Lifestyle Lift done but there are no offices near where I live in Central Pennsylvania. The closest one was in Plymouth Meeting, PA, near Philadelphia. I called the Lifestyle Lift number and was told that office had been closed. They didn't say why, but I got suspicious. I did not make an appt. in Reston, VA, which is where they wanted me to come; even offered to give me $100 off the procedure if I would travel down there. I did a little investigating over the Web and found out that because of patients having had disfiguring complications, the Plymouth Meeting office had been closed for good. I always investigate companies--and doctors--thoroughly before going for anything, especially if they are from an unknown group, like Lifestyle Lift. There are reports on the Web of people going for this procedure and leaving with terrible complications, including open, oozing wounds, stitches that come open, and a real mess for some reputable doctor to fix. I'm really surprised that so far, they do not seem to have been sued. It's a money factory, it appears. Closing that Plymouth Meeting PA office made me decide that it's a very shady operation; when the police get too close, you close up shop and run! I would say to avoid this company at all costs and if you see one of their commercials on TV, change the channel!
