I joined Lightyear Alliance over 6 months ago and for what I was showned in their presentation, it does look like a great way to do extra money (You have to pay $400 to get in, you have to buy a voip and a web page, (Or 2 product) in order to collect commission and it was kind of Leary but then came the convention and we were promised that anyone that can make it there, will come one level up, in other words, a Manager will become a Sr. Manager, and a Sr. manager will become Regional Manager and so on but what they did not tell us was the the money was less and the work was double.

In other work, Before as a Manager you can make $100 per person and after the so call upgrade you will make $50,00 as well as the Sr. Manager. (Less money and more item to sell) also as a Regional manager, you were suppose to have sold or own 10 company product in order to collect commission. Item that alway perform terrible, the Company reps were misinform and don't know too much about the product and beside getting plenty of complain from people I got involved, I also lossed some good friend for selling this Terrible product to them.

In my life, I have been in other convention in which not only I was paid everything from plane ticket, hotel and food but also was send a limo to take me and my wife to the airport. (In the recent Lightyear Alliance Convention, we have to pay for everything with our own money, the only freebie was that one day they gave us sandwich plus a last day Dance in which we also have to pay for our own drink, (Is this the sign of a multimillionaire company?)

The toothpicks that broke the camel back was when I was late one month and they sent me a letter threatening to bring me to the 3 credits bureau if I don't pay them ASAP. I did call right away, paid the late amount and at the same time canceled 7 product I had with them.

to me personally, I rather sleep in peace that have people complaining about broken voip daily. and for all this reason, this company it's not worthy to me.

Things they never told us and had to find out the right way that wasn't true:

1)- In their presentation, they show that any position as a Sr. Manager and above, you'll get pay to infinity for every rep you bring and any rep this rep will bring. to infinity, (It was not true because there was limit and had an end.

2)-In their Presentation, I was never told that once a rep. reach my level, I would loose getting pay from this rep. (I found out the hard way)

3)-I was never told that if a rep did not pay his or her bill, it would be taken from any of my check.

4)-I was never told that any plan outside USA, would never cover calling Cell phone. even if you bought 2600 minutes to call outside USA (3 clients that have the Latin American plan were billed way over $300 instead of the $59.00

(For all the above reasons I created a bad reputation with the people that trusted me)

I've read the two reports on Lightyear Alliance. I've noticed from the other businesses listed on this site, that most companies have a lot of people that are complaining about how they were taken advantage of. With Lightyear there are two people. It sounds to me like these two people didn't research the Lightyear business and then jumped in before they were properly trained and knew what they were even doing. It's not rocket science! I've been a rep with the company for a long time and I've NEVER seen them offer anything they didn't back up. They did have problems with the VOIP product when it first rolled out, but they fixed it. I've had Voip at home for over a year and I've never been happier with my phone service!!! I cut my phone bill to about half of what I was paying and I have high speed internet as a result. (Without it costing me anymore money than I was already paying!) One of the reports said that Lightyear had threatened them because they were late with a bill. I've been late a few times and haver never had a threat from the company! Also there is NO WAY you can be promoted and not make more money. There are tons of things listed that just aren't true! Yes, you do have to have 10 customer points to earn the residual income and I've lost a few customers over the years, but I've also had several customers that have been with me for the duration. I'm not going to lie and say that I've made a fortune, but that's my fault not Lightyear's! They give you the tools to have success, you have to use them. It sounds like the two people reporting either didn't properly use the tools given to them, they didn't have an hour or two a day to dedicate to the business or they were get rich quick dreamers that thought money was going to fall from the sky with no effort whatsoever. If that's the case, go get some stupid chain letter and don't try network marketing again! You are just going to tick people off and give legit businesses a bad name! Oh, by the way, there is no such thing as karma! You can have either blessings or misfortunes. Believe it or not, sometimes that's in your control. Lightyear is a blessing if you follow the plan and do it the right way!

hello my name is maria, like "el vigilante" i was a victim of this company. i really thought that i was gonna make money like they pictured it, but in reality i lost money, friends and reputation. i changed all of my home phones to this voip adapter that really gave me a lot of problems dialing, sometimes i will call people and i could not hear them, i did change the voip for a new one but the problems was the same, their support people were sometimes annoyed of me calling them to try to fix this problems. also i received a bill for over 300 dollars because i didn't know you couldn't call cell phones in other countries, even tho i had the Latin-America plan that gives me 2600 minutes, i guess they are only for residential phones, which is kinda stupid because almost everyone has a cell phone. and not only that, i lost friends because of this business who had broken voips, bad service, billed over $200 and blamed me for getting them into this, i cant even look at their faces now, i feel so stupid for been so open minded with this company, i was just trying to get more money so i can send my kinds to college, and now i think i spent like $800 with this company, and i only made $1700, also i had to pay the huge bill they sent me or they where going to put it on my credit, in view that i'm trying to get a car loan, i had to do it. i just fell betrayed by the people who brought me to this company that after all of their nice faces to get me in, ignored my calls and told me that it was all my fault, i don't know but how is the over-billed, broken products my fault. this company should not be call lightyear alliance, but DARKYEAR ALLIANCE.
