Linky&Dinky Secret Clubhouse -- shady practices jerks
I purchased a membership to Linky&Dinky's "Secret Clubhouse." For those of you who do not know Linky&Dinky, they comb the web for interesting and useful sites.
The membership cost $10 for a year. Not to bad. But when I logged on I noticed a lot of the same material that is sent out in the free e-mails. And the rest of the site was littered with broken links or was just plain out of date. Clinton jokes just aren't funny, anymore, know whay I mean?
That all would have been fine, and a case of buyer beware, until I tried to log on the next day. My password was no longer being accepted. I e-mailed them with this problem, and they told me that I had too many log-ons in a 24 hour period. I was cut off, no refund, no explination needed. I told them I had only logged on four times, but they said their records showed different.
Then they got rude. I was called a theif and a liar. I explained again that NO ONE had access to my password, and I had only accessed the site a handful of times. That there HAD to be some other problem. The correspondence from them soon became condesending, and arrogant. They basically told me to beat it.
So in a final attempt to resolve this, I asked for a detailed accounting of these alleged log-ins. I asked for IP addresses, along with time and duration of log-in. They have so far refused.
At this point, I don't care about the money. What I want is an apology, but I doubt I'll ever see either one.
Don't give these jerks any more money.

I would simply like to re-iterate that any member of our Secret Clubhouse who shares his login credentials with other people will be shut off without refund or recourse, as this person was.
