Sellers beware!!! This Company is the biggest ripoff I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few in my time. Long story short - sent Lippincott a brand new gold and diamond ring (engagement ring, never given, never worn) for an appraisal and offer from them to buy.
The ring was appraised at over $3,000 when I bought the ring. The offer from them was just over $100!!! (total amount, diamonds and gold band!). No doubt they would have turned around and sold it for thousand$ making an incredibly insane profit at my expense. The "appraiser" was neither knowledgeable, courteous, or even offered any plausible explanations as to why the offer was so low, much less a reasonable counter-offer.
Apparently, I did not do enough due diligence on my part prior to sending them the ring, as I discovered later that there are a multitude of complaints similar to mine.
Don't make these arrogant scam artists rich at your expense! They will be laughing at you all the way to the bank!
