Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Company posts pictures of items you will receive and then ships you something close. When you contact to address the issue, they are beligerant, and hide behind the incomplete shipping manifest. The following is a demonstrative example: photos of Apple Computers posted as a representative sample of items for sale. Manifest reads: computers.

You would expect to receive Apple computers....right? No....you could get Dell, HP, or some other brand. or even just parts of computers. When you call and say hey - there is a disconnect from your visual advertisement and receipted goods. The question is "Did you recieve computers?" the answer is yes of course but not the ones you showed for sale. Response - "Sorry about that - we shipped computers as stated on the manifest and you are out of luck". Really?

There is something called truth in advertising. The customer service rep - hung up on me. Great customer service! It was "explained" to me that I had no recourse. Basically just suck it up and get happy that you just got drilled.

Under no circumstances use this company. the fact that they are publically traded does not make them a good company, a trust worthy company, reputable or ethical. There is nothing right about the company. I learned the hard way - don't walk a mile in my moccasins - run, run fast the opposite direction.

Just a big ball of wrong and ugly.

I was issued a full refund after much argument with this group. I think the key was copying the the corporate headquarters Director of Public Relations on each exchange. Interestingly, I just checked and their personal email addresses have been removed so you can't email them directly as I was doing. Wonder why that happened..right? The director of public relations for the corporation is Melissa Gieringer, provided she still has a job.  I'm sure she got worn out with the emails and finally just said take care of this and make it go away.

I would never do business with this group or any of their companies. They are not reputable and will rip off a less than tenacious individual. It takes time and strategy to get your money back and many just don't have the time, energy or effort but I just hate a liar. I can put up with a lot but not a liar or a rich thief and they are both. Their concept of customer service is pitiful. I would either dismiss the cust. service reps or fire the boss who allows an employee to speak to a customer as Chante' did to me.

I have attached the letter confirming reimbursement. It was not a lot of money granted but it was the principle of the thing and not enough of us stand on or up for principle anymore regardless of the cost. Just don't monkey around with this company or its affiliates. It is a time suck and time is money and you won't get what you ordered anyway.

For the record, it didn't take 5-7 days - it hit my account today - actually prior to receiving this auto-generated email below:

Dear XXXX,

We have processed refunds for the following transaction:

***************Refund Detail***************

Transaction ID: 4088312

Refund Amount: $187.25

Please allow at least 5-7 business days for this credit to be posted to your credit card account.

Dispute found in My Favor - Kind of

I do appreciate you finding in my favor and your taking responsibility for the add, photos, misrepresentation and sale. The same seller has a current auction selling the same items, so I know they are available. I want the auction honored and an exchange. As soon as you address this question, I will return the items in the same box in which they were shipped. Please do not throw gas on the fire by giving me a deadline as the dispute has only been partially resolved.

1) You agree that the merchandise shipped was not what was advertised either visual or written
2) I offered to accept a partial refund - you rejected
3) Currently running the same advertised for another auction
4) I want an exchange which mirrors the auction and items I won

Re: Liquidation.com

 6969045

I don't know if your other websites, policies, business partners, and employees function like liquidation.com. If they do - shame on you.

Your customer service rep hung up on me after delivering me a face full of attitude where she treated me like an imbecile, clearly was not interested in honesty, truth or a discussion on your questionable business tactics.

I have filed a complaint but from reading all the blogs, that is worthless as your typical MO is to not answer questions from the complaint to reach clarity and then you say...oops...you didn't respond timely and decline the dispute. The deck is stacked against the buyer. Research also indicates that if you attempt to return the items, buyer pays the freight, the sellers denies the shipment and buyer pays return freight, so I'm not going to return anything without a written authorization. This is just throwing more money away.

Now when I try to sign in to my account to review the purchase - I am denied access. Very tricky and highly unethical on your part.I assume this is because I had the audacity to call within hours of receipt of the items, go on-line and file a complaint and open a dispute with Paypal for the charges. Sadly, your same seller has the exact same photos listed on another sale so the evidence is still accessible. 7037919

I'm suppose to send photos of items I didn't receive...to prove my claim, as these pictures according to your canned email are part of the dispute process. How do you propose I send photos I can't produce? It would be much easier for you to look at the auction listing of 71 photos and the description given as far as quality, and brands. I can tell you I received Fruit of the Loom, Vasserette and other Walmart, Kmart, Dollar Store brands. There weren't any Tommy, Rofe, Vanity Fair items. These were suppose to be shelf pulls and some of the items are clearly marked irregular. Your seller knows this. These items have all been pre-packed for some time just waiting on the next idiot to purchase it. One would assume that when you use the word "many satin items" and you have multiple photos of satiny items advertised that one would receive said items - there was 1 satin like gown in the shipment.
      SOME BRAND INCLUDED ARE:
RENE ROFE, TOMMY HILFIGER, VANITY FAIR, VASSARETTE, SMART n SEXY, JENNI AND MORE
THERE ARE MANY SATIN AND EMBROIDERED LINGERIE IN THIS LOT AS WELL AS MESH SETS AND LACE
SOME ITEMS MAY VARY IN COLOR AND SIZE...
Don't get me wrong, I understand that you may not receive the exact style, color as pictured and am good with that but am not good with (1) satin gown (and it isn't satin but polyester) out of 201 items shipped (advertised 216) and you shouldn't be either. There were -0- embroidered items. Some of the thongs received have clearly been opened and repackaged - do you think I'm interested in used thongs or questionably worn intimate apparel? Are you?

I have already filed a complaint against liquidation.com at ripoff.com, the BBB and will be moving forward to the ic3, FTC, &SEC next. There is a law regulating truth in advertising and you can't hide behind a half-baked shipping manifest to dodge your responsibility to the public. Either force your sellers to clearly list individual items on the manifest or don't post false pictures. I paid 187.00 for this junk and am requesting an immediate 100.00 partial refund which I believe to be fair if I'm going to keep the shipment. If you want the full shipment back, you will need to issue a return authorization, arrange for pick up  and a full refund prior to my shipping. I do expect a reply from you as director of public relations and an equitable resolution immediately.

You may have some great sellers - I'll never find out because of this experience but I feel sorry for those great sellers who are honest and trying to do right by the customer but liquidation.com gets in the way and protects bad sellers. One bad apple does spoil the whole barrel.

Letter from Liquidation ab dispute & my response

#5Author of original report

Fri, December 13, 2013

We have received your dispute claim for transaction 4088312 (auction 6969045) and will begin conducting an investigation regarding the information you submitted.

PLEASE NOTE: As stated on the dispute form, support documentation (i.e. digital photos or a sample of the disputed merchandise) is a required part of the dispute process, and we must receive it within a reasonable period of time from the date the merchandise was delivered to you. If you haven't already, please send digital photos via email to [email protected]

My Response to their email:

In the item description is says:

SOME BRAND INCLUDED ARE:  RENE ROFE, TOMMY HILFIGER, VANITY FAIR, VASSARETTE, SMART n SEXY, JENNI AND MORE  THERE ARE MANY SATIN AND EMBROIDERED LINGERIE IN THIS LOT AS WELL AS MESH SETS AND LACE  SOME ITEMS MAY VARY IN COLOR AND SIZE...

There was 1 satin gown, no embroidered sets as photographed. The brands mentioned above were not all included - no Tommy, Rofe, Vanity Fair. Most 75% were Fruit of the Loom, Walmart, K-mart, Dollar Store Brands. Some are marked "Irregular". The only thing that matches the add and manifest is there were exactly 201 items and various sizes.  It is easier to look at your own posting of photos and tell you that less than 25% of what was shipped matched either product, brand or description. I have already reported you to Ripoff.com, the BBB, and will move on from there tomorrow. You do not honor truth in advertising and engage in the classic bait and switch.

I want a partial refund at a minimum. Your seller knows exactly what they are doing when posting photos and branded labels and adding an inaccurate description and you support them in the ruse. Tell me specifically what you want a photo of and I'll be glad to furnish. I can't send you photos of items I don't have or labels which didn't ship....somewhat of a quandary don't you think that I have to send photos I can't produce because I didn't receive the item.....hummm. Seems like the deck is pretty serious stacked against the buyer. In my wildest dreams, I can't imagine this is the first or sole complaint about this company or how you support the scam.
