Each year with our tax return we sent Litton a few payments so that they are on time. Because of work being feast or famine, often payments are late. They took the payments which were labeled as Feb.,Mar.,And sometimes April payments. They took the one payment and applied it correctly and took the other(s) and put it in escrow. They did NOT tell us that and put us in foreclosure.
When I finally got ahold of someone and told them to take it out of escrow, they said ok. Two months later after sending payments back (which were sent by western union) we had 2,500 in fees because they did not tell us that we had to fax or mail a letter saying that we wanted to do that. We had a fax machine at the time and would have gladly done that had the told us.
We also had the same problem with the insurance situation. We ended up paying late fees and western union costs until the collection dept. and the insurance dept. communicated about insurance proof.
A few years ago we set up a payment plan to keep our home after going to court. the man that was handling our case at Litton Loan said that we needed to have our payments in no later than the 10th of each month. after 12 months payments started to come back because they said we weren't done paying on the plan. They added late charges to each payment because the man NEVER put into our file about having until the 10th to make the payments. We ended up paying 4 extra western union fees as well as 2 extra increased payments. When we questioned them they said that he no longer works with the company so there is no proof of that conversation.
Every time we pay on time something happens and we can't get out from under this company.
