Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband and I recently paid a lump sum of money to this company as instructed by one of the foreclosure specialist. We wired the funds via Western Union and he acknowledged receipt of the funds and indicated that were to make a payment 30 days after that date.

Within three weeks, we began to receive letters indicating that our mortgage payment had not been made and we were in default of our forebearance agreement. We contacted the individual who made this agreement with us and have yet to receive a return phone call from him. Instead we've been harassed by callers indicating that we are due for two months instead of one.

Something is very wrong with the way this company does business and there has to be a way to stop them. The letters they send threatening foreclosure in my opinion are a subtle form of extortion to scare the borrower into paying when they really have no intention of doing so.

My husband and I are desperately trying to keep our mortgage current so we can get away from this company. They are like a dark cloud and if someone were to audit their accounts (IRS, State of Texas, outside accounting firm) I'm sure they would find a ton of discrepancies.

Why is it that you cannot get a statement from these people either? Questions are not answered, but rather skated around so the borrower is made to feel as if they're stupid.

Is there a class action lawsuit pending anywhere? There should be.

Hi Marla: happy you noticed my post and was able to contact one of the firms suing Litton Loan. Wish you and your hubby the best in rewriting your mortgage. Have a suggestion, make sure that they new lender notes your contract that your account can not be flipped, transferred or serviced. Too many times in the past I have heard the horror stories of getting the pay off figures, finding some other lender to refinance the account and it ends up back with Litton. Talk about jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. Don't recall if I suggested some of the other forums and groups. Just do a search in Yahoo or whatever and look for joining in and supporting the issue to stop Litton Loan now. Good luck and look forward to you and your family continuing the fight to right the wrongs Litton and their associates have done. God Bless!

Thank you so much for responding. I contacted one of the law firms and I faxed the necessary documents to them. My husband and I are three months away from getting rid of Litton Loan altogether. We're working with an excellent company and the consultant has gone above and beyond to help us. In cases like these, when the courts appear to be dragging their feet, we can help each other. When one of us is free from Litton bondage, maybe we can get others the information they need to be rid of them as well.

Hi Marla there are currently 2 class action lawsuits filed against Litton Loan Servicing and it's parent company C-Bass. One is in CT and the other in TN. There is also another firm checking out and taking statements from victims of Litton, Lieff, Cabraser. Just do a check on lawsuits, there is the CT one by lead plaintiff, Kweku Hanson, then the TN one is South East Legal Services. Please do not despair, more and more of us Litton victims are speaking out and joining forces.Fight them. There are many other web sites on fraud that you can gain valuable information and ways to combate these thieves of the American Dream for Homeownership. Litton is notorious for harassment and intimidation, it is a shame none of them look at themselves in the mirror, guess the truth hurts. If your contract has a HUD clause you need to write a RESPA letter and get a good lawyer, contact the NCRC. Most importantly get off the phone and do everything in writing with copies. If you have not noticed there is alot of actvity in New York by Eliot Spitzer the AG, write to him tell him what Litton Loan has done to you. Spitzer is a watch dog and knows that there are games in the finance industry being played. Litton and others have a fiduciary duty this is the key to opening those flood gates. Good luck and I hope you find us, we are there and fighting back. God Bless!
