Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My fiancee and I got a knock on the door from a smooth-talking and nice young man named Chris, who said he was trying to win a trip to Cancun.  We were suckered into buying 2 magazine subscriptions.  He even provided us with a number to call, which I called while he was there to make sure he was legitimate.  The number was to Buckeye Sales Inc. and I talked to a man named Jason Salluom.  The salesman also provided us with a receipt that looked legitimate.  On the receipt were instructions on cancelling the order and getting a refund within so many days.  After all this we didn't see the harm in helping the kid out.  My fiancee paid $44 in cash and I paid $20 in cash and $36 with a check.  After Chris left I looked up the company on the receipt (Local Panlamin, LLC.) and the one on the business car that was given to me (Buckeye Sales Inc.) on the internet.  Now I am here.  I only found sites like this with customers like me complaining about being scammed.  I cancelled my check and intend on filling out the cancellation notice on the back of the receipt.  However, I don't think that will help me much, given what I have read already from the other victims.  If anyone can tell me where I should go from here, or is setting up a lawsuit, please let me know.

A young man came to the door explaining that he was also selling magazines to win a trip to over seas he stated he was from new york on a college trip to 9 different state. he said he was in a contest against the girls. I got scammed into buying 2 issues total was 125. after he left i called and cancelled right away something didnt seem right. i called the number today to confirm my cancellation a man answered i said is the the magazine office he said "yes it is but it isnt" and he also gave me the same number to a phone that was disconnected. I hope i get my money back. Its really sad that they would even be doing these things.

Hi there, we are a young couple, engaged as well. We were approached similarly at our home this winter. The young man told us his name was Conner. He was trying to win a contest and needed to sell magazines to be the top salesperson.

He was a quick-talker with a few good sales lines and a distinct voice. He was nice enough that we figured we would help him, and get a good magazine in the meantime. He told us he would follow up with us and never did.

Not feeling comfortable with how it turned out, we followed the steps to cancel. We canceled our order (though it was deposited by Panlamin, LLC) and are still waiting on confirmation of our cancellation or a refund of some kind.

After seeing your post, I contacted the number included. I was shocked. I believe the same salesperson answered that number that came to our home.

He answered "Uhh..yeah hello?" When I asked if I was speaking to someone with Panlamin LLC his response was "You are, but you aren't, Ha. Why do you need to contact them?" I gave him a vague reply and demanded an office line.

He was rude, gave me another contact number, and told me that I was impatiently looking for information when I was told to wait 90-120 days to receive my magazines. The new number he provided is 719-266-6940.

Please contact me and let me know if there has been any progress with your case in particular. We would like to form a lawsuit and stop the misuse of door-to-door sales to help other young couples.

I had the same issue with this company. Although I was talked into purchasing 2 NFL football jerseys and got a free magazine subscription. I spent $148 and never received anything from them. Was just wondering if you had any luck getting your magazines or your money back. Thank you.
