Locksmith Carroll Gardens Five Boro Locksmith Corp. False Advertising, Overpriced, Suspicious and Terrible Customer Service Brooklyn, New York
My husband and I were in an emergency situation and needed the locks on our business changed immediately. We called Locksmith Carroll Gardens based on the great online reviews they got on InsiderPages.com. They said over the phone that the serviceman would show up with a variety of options. In reality, he showed up with one crappy low-security option, which we were forced to take because of the immediacy of the situation. We paid over $200 for something we could have got at Home Depot for $20.
When I called to complain about the fact that he only had this one crap-tastic option, the manager Jay said there was nothing he could do to help me and hung up on me. Yep, just hung up, without trying in the least to resolve the issue.
When I went online to research this business a bit more, I found everything to be very suspicious. There are several locksmith companies that are known by the name Locksmith Carroll Gardens, none of the phone numbers across the various websites are consistent, and the physical address they give as 2 Butler St. in Brooklyn does NOT exist! The only concrete information I have linking this company to the horrible service we received is the phone number 718-280-1185.
This company is run by complete idiots who do not deserve your money. I wouldn't be surprised if they did not actually posses a NYS locksmith license. Everything about them is suspicious and they need to be made accountable for their fraud and terrible customer service.
