I contacted LogistiCare Anthem many times for transportation to and from medical appts, medical procedures, and in the past few months, to schedule and then consecutively have to reschedule rides with them because they kept dropping my transportation appts or the drivers would refuse to take me either because it was too early for them to get up to take me (in their own opinion) or they weren't sure I coudl be ready on time even though I never made tem late in the last to getting me to appts.  Sometimes, weather related was their reasoning (a sometimes legit excuse).  Other times, it was due to them just having had a busy night and not wanting to take me.  Other times, rides couldn't be gotten "at last minute," even though I made the transportation appt more than 5 or 6 business days in advance (per their policy for Medicaid patients to do).  I have a Gastric Emptying SAtudy that needs to be done to see "how bad it's gotten" of my digestion cessation (Gastroparesis) so that my GI and primary care doctors can know what to do from there.  But, this is the fourth or fifth time I will have had to reschedule if my ride doesn't come through yet again.  I am waiting on Logisticare Anthem to get me a ride (still waiting) for tomorrow's 8a.m. appointment where I need to be there no later than 7:30a.m. in Lewsgale Medical Center in Salem, VA from here in Covington, VA. That is at least an hour trip to that location, and I need them to pick me up between 5a.m. and 5:30a.m. to get me there by no later than 7:30a.m.  They said they are still trying to find someone cus my current ride called in to say she cannot take me.  But I didn't learn she did tht until I called LogistiCare Anthem around or after 11: something, Monday night.  And here, it is currently 12:34A.m., now, with, so far, NO ride.  I have been trying to get to this appt and have had to reschedule many times, before, this same appt., for this 4 hour procedure to be done by the radiology dept.  The first time I had called them to get this handled for transportatin was back in January, I think (or sooner).  Then I had to keep rescheduling my appt. and transportation appointment because of their drivers not veing fond and the one closest to my location that could take me not taking me for one reason or another.  Having my driver tell me that she has, "... been busy all night" and that she'd, "be happy to take" me, "but just not at 5A.M." seemed mean and wrong becsuse that was the time she was supposed to take me and she was the assigned driver, even though I had ironically told LogistiCare that they should assign a driver rom Ride Rite company because she is unreliable, they gace me her as an assigned driver, anyway.  And they e-mailed her that info (they claimed).  But, she said she never got that notification.  Then, they said they would fax tht info to her.  She kept her phone off.  but, since she was connected to me via Facebook, I decided to contact her about it.  And she stated that to me of not wanting to help if she needs to ghelp at 5a.m.  I took screenshots of that.  Either LogistiCare Anthem company or that particular driver who repeatedly let me down (and in the past, either she or her husband who also transports Medicaid clients) made Medicaid clients habitually late, more than 50 percent of the time (at least in MY case, they did).  But because of the fact that LogistiCare Anthem had screwed me over in the past  on appts by NOT keeping them in the database of appointments that had been made by not only me but in one case by me WITH the help of an Anthem Healthkeepers Plus Member Servierces supervisor, plus the way they handled this appt multiple times and the way the driver they contracted (Wanda Moore) behaved in times I had scheduled transportatin appointments and had been habitually let down by them, I hold the MAIN responsibility and fault on LogistiCare Anthem, with secondary blame on the driver for not keeping HER part of her job, properly.
