I believe I was just scammed in the newport, north carolina area. I didn't follow my guy and wrote the boy a check. I just wanted to let people in the area to know to be on the lookout. Young guy with his front teeth missing.
Said he was with a group of young people with cleft lips and that the girls and the guys were having a contest to see who could sell the most mag subscriptions to win a trip.
I hopped on the internet as soon as left and realized I had been scammed. Called to cancel the check. That was cheaper than it would have been had then been able to cash it. Lesson learned. Listen to your gut.
