We had Long Windows come to our home to quote replacement windows. I did not have the money to replace all the window at once, so I purchased 5 windows in the initial set. We were told that we would recieve a discount on each future installment and were given a description of a great window warrenty.

Time came for the second installment of windows. Surprise, the price was higher than we had agreed to during the inital visit. We sent the saleperson away while trying to decide what to do. During this period, a window was broken and the frame that holds the glass was damaged. No problem, we have a great warrently that replaces the glass and the frame holding it if there is a problem.

Called the service center and scheduled a replacment. Three weeks go by and I call to check on the replacement and they seem to have no record that I have called. Oh and by the way, on the glass will be replaced. That great warranty we were promised didn't exist either.

I called serveral managers in the company requesting my money back since I had been lied to by the salesperson and jerked around by the service department. I was told, to parapharase "just buy the rest of the windows at the revised price because it is a good deal". I was also told that I should have been more careful about letting the window get damaged and it was not their problem.

I spoke to a lawyer to see what my options were and she stated the contract is written to really get it over on the customer. I will never do business with any company associated with Long Fence and Home.

Michael, I am just hearing of our lack of response to you and your needs. I am truly sorry for the frustration this has caused you. Please understand that this is not the norm and we will do everything in our power to satisfy you. Our name has been trusted since 1945 for quality and service and we value all of our customers and their feedback. We want to make this right. Your window IS under warranty and it WILL be replaced if damaged for any reason. Your windows are also under an attractive price guarantee that we WILL honor. We will search our database and look for you in an attempt to make contact (although we only have your first name and town name from this post). Please give us your information in the meantime so I can turn it over to our customer service divison as soon as possible. Sorry for the confusion. John DePaola President
