I am a private caregiver, and as such I receive clients by referral and many through popular web sights. Normally I receive emails from interested persons and I do my diligence with background checks and begin the interview process. But, today I got an out of the norm text message stating "Hi, I'm Kate Grange from care, a friend of mine is moving in from London in 2 weeks time and she needs a senior caregiver for her mother-in-law..Pls email her if interested for more details at: .... To get more information about the position. Thanks."
So, this persons sounds ligit enough. I google the phone number, it's out of state. That is a red flag, so I reply to this Kate person " and your friends name would be?" Her response was " Mrs Arnold". So my second red flag goes up. I then asked " in what city will Mrs. Arnold's mother in law be residing?" And got no reply.
I googled the email address I was provided with and came across this web sight and found another victim of this scammer. Though I would not have taken the job due to too many red flags, I am greatful that I found someone else had posted on this same scammer!
lucky for me, nothing was lost. But I will spread the word as much as I can to help make sure another loving, trusting, person doesn't get scammed. Avoid this person!
