This web site is playing with peoples hearts, they are using fake profiles of young lady's who probaly don't even know that they are involved.

They are also using other web sites who may be or may not be involved to draw people in to their's, one of them is I wantu.com, I found roughly 10 profiles there saying to go to loveontheweb.net inorder to speak with the person in the profile.

All of the profiles had at least one thing in common, they all used :) or ;) within their discriptions.

STOP THESE A**HOLES!

The Girls are "real" but they work for the site. ..they have no intention of ever meeting you.

Well I just stumbled across this rip off report. I made a profile Last year sometime at loveontheweb. And experienced some of the exact same things others have. The Girls at loveontheweb are "real" but they have no intention of ever meeting you. They are in someway paid a commission... they do send form emails. however to avoid the technical scam of having a bot do the work these girls copy and paste messages in manually. every now and then they actually read what you send them. I created about 10-20 profiles to test the theory out. and low and behold the same girls sent me messages saying the same things. I would reply to them with things like "so your not real and are going to send me a message that talks about how the pizza deleivery guy just got here"... and low and behold they would... then other times the exact same girl would say in reply to the exact same message "what are you talking about?".... whats funny is that from each of these 10-20 profiles i was sending the exact same messages to them. they would actually read 1 or 2 out of them but they are so busy cutting and pasting they did not put together the same guy was messaging them. sometimes I would say "this is a scam website and you work for them", and ask them how much they are getting paid, the girls would actually reply with"so what if i do work here?, I am going to have you banned(or something along those lines)" sure they threatened to ban my IP address but hey when you have personal access to about 2 million ip address that is not really a big deal. another thing i thought was funny was their TOS(terms of Service)... its been a while but somewhere deep in the legal mumbo jumbo they basically admit to it. saying something along the lines of we can contact your profile to test the ligitamacy of it and to ensure safety for our other users and we may never let you know as we will be acting like a end user our selves... now those were not the actual words but it went somethign along those lines... that is why i think that they have escaped prosecution so far...cause well they tell you they are going to fake you out. and that it is all in the name of having a so called "safe dating experience"... . This site is extremely bad. and there are alot of sites just like this out there. frankly i dont even know if they are still in business. I sort of doubt they are.

The rebuttal is bogus

#3Consumer Suggestion

First hand knowledge that LOVEONTHEWEB.NET is attempting to clear themselves of the way they solicit business but they continue to lure men into the site with bogus females. DON'T be fooled by what the "management" team tells you, if you get email from a 1+ women who appear to be models, who send mails just to get responses or to have you pay to read your mail. They are a dying internet site because of the way they manage and the lack of quality people so don't give them your credit card number or any private information. The people running this site are not to be trusted. IWANTU.COM MATCHMAKER.COM YAHOO etc etc etc.. if anyone mails you or replies to a mail you sent suggesting you find them on LOVEONTHEWEB.NET BEWARE!!!

Several messages posted here simply untrue

At loveontheweb.net, we are in the business of providing a safe, comfortable atmosphere for people interested in internet dating. That is and always was our focus. Several messages posted here on RipOffReport.com are simply untrue. RipOffReport.com states in their disclaimer that these reports are not necessarily true and should be investigated before taken as fact. To our current customers and our potential customers, we ask the same of you. We have recently re-staffed several areas of our company including Customer Relations. We are working to eliminate CR problems some of our customers have experienced in the past. Soon we will have an area where customer feedback will be posted along with our response. We encourage you to give feedback on our site, positive or negative. We applaud RipOffReport.com for their intentions to hold fraudulent companies accountable. No business offering products or services can be successful without responding to customer needs. However, we draw the line at slanderous messages being irresponsibly posted about our site. RipOffReport.com has not contacted us to confirm any messages posting slanderous claims against us. Most all the feedback posted here about our site is untrue and ALL problems can be taken care of if our customers come to us first. We don't want to sensor our customers or hide negative feedback. We simply want to take care of our customers needs whether it be an accounting error on our part, a claim of harassment by other memebers, or anything else. What better place to praise our efforts, tell dating success stories, or vent frustration with our site and the dating world in general than on our feedback board where you will be speaking directly to customers who are already members of the site? As for RipOffReport.com, we encourage you to disregard what you read here about our site as it is slanderous and unfounded. That is not to say the people who post here are liars, but this site's posting of allegations without confirming them is irresponsible and hurtful to RipOffReport.com's true goals. We recently contacted RipOffReport.com requesting that the slanderous messages be removed and we were met with a VERY unprofessional response in which they resused our request, insulting us along the way. They even used the line "Yeah right, ... when your finished playing with yourself, let us know....". We don't put any faith in feedback posted by such a site. But we DO have an obligation to our customers to respond so we encourage you to come to us with feedback so we can continue to improve our efforts to offer you a safe, comfortable place for your internet dating experience.
