Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I contacted Low Mileage Engines to purchase a good quality low mileage engine for my daughter's 2006 Mazda 6. They sold me an engine with a Car Fax report stating it had only 24k miles on it. The Car Fax report labeled the car  Branded Title: Junk. I  am not an expert in engines and I am a widow who is just trying to take care of my family alone so I trusted what I was being sold as good quality and for the price of $ 1700.00 I thought that would at least get a few more years on her car. Salvage yards take auto parts off vehicles and rebuild them and they are tested and sold. I assumed that this engine would be OK.

The engine was shipped to WV to the mechanic, I was sent papers for the engine which stated that I declined the Labor Warranty which I did because I was paying the mechanic to install it. But in order to have a so called 1 Year Part Only Warranty on the long block engine only I had to replace a entire list of parts and receipts must show they were purchased and installed on that block engine I just paid $ 1700.00 for. I was never told when you buy this engine you will need to purchase all the parts that are attached to it you could not use the parts off the old engine nothing like that. I assumed when the engine was shipped it was ready to be installed and I would pay the mechanic for the labor. Big surprise when I read that sheet detailing all the things that had to be done in order to have a Parts Only Warranty.

I spent an additional $ 250.00 on new parts, shipped them to WV to go on this engine to get that limited warranty. Due to my daughter's situation, she is disabled and very low income, lives in another state and has an infant the mechanic had agreed to install the engine and let her make monthly payments. This was the only way she would be able to do this. The mechanic did this as a kind gesture and he could have charge much more than he did but out of the kindness of his heart he saw someone in a very bad situation and knew how desperate she was. He installed it as quick as he could but we also knew that his paying customers came first so it took a few weeks to get it done. After he installed it he noticed a tapping sound, concerned he worked on it and found there was something wrong with the valves. We contacted Low Mileage Engines and told them, they had their mechanic listen to the sound and he also said it was something with the valves. Well I am into $2000.00 already on this engine and over a month of waiting. I was very mad when I contacted them about them selling me this junk. They spoke to the  mechanic and ask how much he thought it would cost to fix the valves he said off the top of my head I would think at least $ 600.00 or more. So I get a call from Lori at Low Mileage Engines stating she discussed it with the owner Wade Nowlin and he said he would offer $ 650.00 to the mechanic to fix the engine Take it or Leave It that was all he was willing to do.

After arguing as much as I could take with this engine issue I had no choice but to accept his offer and hope the repair would take care of the problem. So Low Mileage sent me an email telling me to sign the statement that once I accepted this $ 650.00 that they were done with me and would have nothing more to do with this engine. I sent an email expressing my anger over this, explaining that I am stuck I have a daughter who needs her car to get to Maryland to have test for her ongoing brain tumors and the lung cancer surgery she needs to have. The appointments had been canceled before when the car broke down, so we needed that car fixed to make her appointment in December. The owner was displease with my choice of words (nothing nasty) concerning how I am screwed by signing this agreement that it would mean NO WARRANTY would be in effect and all the money I spent was useless if something happened. He said he would rather get his engine back and give me a full refund then to deal with me anymore. I knew if I did that I would have to pay the mechanic to remove the engine and she would be without a car for months again while we went though all this again. I wanted my money back but then I would have lost all the work and money already put into this and she would not get to the Hospital to see just how far advanced her cancer was. I took my daughter's health into consideration when I told him to send the mechanic the $ 650.00 and I prayed that would fix the problem, maybe just once something would go right for her.

The check came and the mechanic was scheduled to remove the engine and take the parts off and take it to the machine shop to repair the valves when she returned from the Hospital. On her way to get her results from all her test the engine blew up and oil went everywhere and she was stuck. She did not make it to the hospital, she had no money and on crutches she called someone to pick her up and she stayed with relatives for a week until someone could take her back to WV. The car repair shop where her car is still broke down looked into her engine and said it was total junk, that it had Internal Engine Defects, he found broken metal chunks and a variable valve cam timing sprocket broken, and he stated that he would trash this engine and replace it all together it had too much damage and would cost way too much to repair.

So I have a $ 2000.00 engine that worked one week and is now junked. Since she is in WV and the car is in Maryland it will be sitting. We have no more money to replace another engine or pay mechanics again so she is screwed. I want my money back and Low Mileage Engines can arrange to have that piece of crap removed and shipped back to Tennessee at his cost. I am so mad I will not let this go. This man is a total joke, talking about how he is a Good Christian and he takes pride in his business and what he sells. Bull!

Mr. Nowlin you also will have to face God one day. Maybe you can sleep at night knowing how you rip people off, how you screwed a struggling widow out of a lot of money who was trying to take care of her daughter, who is paralyzed from brain surgery, walks on crutches and was diagnosed two weeks before her father died with double lung cancer. Yes my daughter has no car thanks to Low Mileage Engines and no money to fix her broken engine they sold us and has to rely on others to take her & the baby places just to get food and necessary items. Thank you for this.

We are at the mercy of these type of companies and when consumers pay hard earned money to get a product they are lead to believe is good they should get one. Companies are responsible for making things right, after all it is consumers who build these companies and without our money there would be no company. I want justice for myself and my daughter & granddaughter. This has been a nightmare from hell and 4 months of struggling and heartbreak for my family. So to anyone who wants to make a purchase from Low Mileage Engines please be informed and aware of what you are really getting and know this can happen to you!

Thank you for your comments and I agree with you completely. Since this all happened the car was returned to the dealer and sold at auction. They also inspected it and said the engine was broken and should never have been sold to me. My daughter has no car  and still owes Mazda thousands for that car.
If Wade Nolin would have honored his so called warranty or even told the truth things might have been different. He is a bold faced liar. l just really hope no one else gets taken by this man his warranty is a total joke and well as his great quality engines. I work in a company that repairs buses and Mercedes Engines and they looked at the photos taken and could spot the cracks in that engine he sold me. But I live 10 hours from Memphis so taking him to court is not within reason.

One day he will get his because he will piss off the wrong person.

Thanks again

The consumer response made "Family Poor", I know who it came from and to set the record straight I am no where near poor, I just want the public to know when they are getting scammed by a low life idiot. As far as my daughter yes she has cancer so do millions of people but cancer or not no one deserves to be ripped off and then to have a psychopathic liar try to trash them. I will speak my mind like it or not.

You are scum you will always be scum and you will indeed face your maker!

Cancer patient taken advantage off. Family is poor!

This company hides behind lies and truth. The BBB shows them as an A rating but as long as he follows his BS warranty, the guidelines of the BBB and pays the BBB he will not investigated. He must be taken to court. Do it in your county, where you sign the "contract" he gives you. Remember the Carfax won't hold water because the engine has no VIN to compare it too and companies don't report repairs to Carfax. When you dis-prove the mileage issue game set match. Get a judgment and use it to shut him down. It is deceptive advertising to say all engines are low mileage. The Attorney General must investigate. He will hide behind his LLC. Include him in your suit. Word it correctly or he will slip away again.

It is heartless to take advantage of a cancer patient. The news media needs to know. If my family member had cancer, I could not fight this guy. My family needs me. He takes money and scoffs at the poor. These people were in desperate need of help.

Wade is cancer to the web and the world!

Low Mileage Engines Don't Use this Company

Don't buy engines from this company. The sell defective engines, fake warranties. The owner can't tell the truth to save his own life. When someone starts giving quotes from the bible you know you are dealing with a nut case. He makes up such stories to make himself look honest it is actually pathetic. To anyone who needs an engine go somewhere else don't get involved in this company. I believe he pays the Better Business Bureau to dismiss any claims against him. His record shows 7 or 8 of the same complaint as mine all dismissed. How can 8 consumers get ripped off the same way, defective parts, not honoring warranties and very dis-satisfied with this company and they close the cases. I actually wrote to my credit card company explaining what I charged and sent a copy of my charge receipt and this man had the gull to tell the BBB that I lied and denied the charge to get out of paying. Well idiot how did I deny anything when I submitted my charge stating what I charged? Who is the liar? He stated I demanded money? That from an email saying Please send the mechanic the check to try to fix this defective engine you sold me. How is the word Please demanding? He claims I went ballistic,  I was rude and ignorant and needed to grow up. Guess what idiot I never spoke to you one single time everything was done by email or phone to your staff. Never once did I personally speak to Mr Nowlin, but he can make these claims.

Read the complaints from others, he starts preaching the word of God to them saying he feels for them as they will have to meet their maker and God will decide how good they are. He claims he is honest and has integrity....yea right.

Well to him you are right one day your time will come and when you try to go to the man upstairs he will banish you from heaven and send you right to the devil himself so you can sit beside your maker.

Once a liar always a liar! Always a liar, always a cheat, and your company always a rip off. I just hope you get what you deserve. One day you will rip off the wrong person and they will not accept your lies and fraudulent business practices and it will be pay back time for you. Justice will prevail and you will get what you deserve, count on it.

ALL consumers stay clear of this company go elsewhere and don't put yourself through this, it is not worth it.
Good Day Mr. Nowlin and Good Ridden.

The definition of psychopathic liar. everyone should look this up before doing business with this company. Some examples are:

Exaggerates things that are ridiculous.
They don't value the truth when caught in a lie become very angry and defensive and say ugly things.
The change their story all the time.
The believe what they said is true even when everyone knows it is a lie.
Never fesses up to the lies.
Lies to get sympathy, to look better, to save their butt
Anyone who preaches religion as a way to justify themselves in the wrong doings they continue to do.

Consumers beware before entering into any dealings with this company, they sell defective engines, they do not honor any warranty no matter what they tell you, example read the definition above. The best thing to do is go somewhere else. Don't lose your hard earned money on this company.
