Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased, & paid for, set of french doors in Sept.

They were special order and I was told they would arrive in 2 to 3 weeks.

I was told Lowe's would call me when they came in.

A day short of the 3 weeks I was in Lowe's so went to the door dept. & inquired on status of doors.

He looked in computer and informed me they would be in the nxt. day. Said they would call me.

Next day no call so I called them. Was put on hold twice and finally was told they would call me back.

Next day no call came again so I called them again, was put on hold then was told they would call me back re: doors.

I demanded to speak with manager. Manager was unavailable @ that time I was told & he would call me back.

Next day no call yet again so I called again.

I was finally told that the provider of the doors had not even begun doing them 2nd to a misunderstanding between them-the order specs.-and Lowe's!!

No one had ever called me, or told me, when I was talking with them at Lowe's in person or via phone, that there was even a problem!! Now here I am with a very large hole in outside wall of house, winter nights are here, and my doors have yet to even be started!!

Reno Lowe's personnel, & manager's total lack of communication let alone consumer, customer service, are appalling. The manager, the door dept. personnel, showed no concern at all for my predicament. They quite simply don't care. It was very obvious in the way they spoke re: this.

I was told the glitch in the order had to do with confusion with order, rec'd from Lowe's, by provider.

Excuse me but couldn't wouldn't, it make sense to call to clarify order??

Lowe's told me it wasn't their fault, they aren't responsible after order is sent!!!

So I guess that means they can just lie to the customer.

We cut this hole in wall based upon the Lowe's employees saying that the doors would be in next day.

He quite simply lied.

I am so angry and upset that I shall never go back to Lowe's again.

There is no customer service at the Lowe's in Reno.

Now supposedly my doors will be here in a week minus the dummy holes for the stationary door that I had requested when I ordered doors!!

All this after having spent a few thousand dollars there.

Will go elsewhere for the rest of supplies you can bet.

The word is out these criminal and unethical behaviors described here are the NORM in Reno, Washoe County and Nevada.  Reno, Washoe County  and Nevada already have a bad reputation in the national media; a talk with home insurers confirms people and businesses are fleeing Reno and Nevada, and even Wall Street had DOWNgraded Reno REPEATEDLY to Junk Status.  These shocking behaviors by Reno businesses and Nevada public employees give a further black-eye to Reno, Washoe County and Nevada which Reno is now a  A Blighted Ghost-town and Nevada a blighted State.  This business has been notorious for years for their shoddy business and neighbor practices.

Reno and Nevada already have a bad reputation in the national media; a talk with home insurers confirms people and businesses are fleeing Reno and Nevada.  These shocking behaviors by Reno businesses and Nevada public employees give a further black-eye to Reno and Nevada which are increasingly becoming and known as A Blighted Ghost-town and State.  Lowes and its employees like Lowe's manager Mike Rosario have been notorious for years for their laziness, incompetence, corrpurtion, extortion, blackmail, civil rights violations, abuses, perjury, fraud, false documents, and sewer service yet have never been held acountable for their illegal and unethical behaviors due to corruption - they pay bribes to each other and public employees.

I PAID TO HAVE MY FLOORS DONE IN PERGO-CHERRY WOOD, THREE BEDROOMS, HALL, LIVINGROOM AND KITCHEN. THE NEW FLOOR WAS PUT ON TOP OF THE OLD FLOOR. I ASKED THE INSTALLER WHY WERE THEY NOT TAKING UP THE OLD FLOOR, BECAUSE I HAVE SEVERAL BROKEN PIECES OF TILE IN EVERY ROOM ANE THE FLOOR NEED TO BE TAKEN UP. THE INSTALLER TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL JUST PUT SOME CARDBOARD IN THE MISSING PLACES. I WAS NOT SATISFIED SO I PHONED LOWES AND SPOKE TO TED CONCERNING THE OLD FLOORS. I WAS TOLD TOLD BY TED THAT THEY DON'T TAKE UP THE OLD FLOORS, THAT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO GET SUED FOR THAT. MY REPLIED TO HIM WAS I HAVE NOT EVER HEARD OF THAT AND THAT I KNOW OF SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT HAD THEIR OLD FLOOR TAKEN UP BY THE INSTALLER. MY FLOORS THAT HAVE THE BROKEN TILE WAS FILLED IN WITH CARDBOARD THAT THE MATERIAL CAME IN. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THAT THE INSTALLERS HAD TO CUT ALL OF MY INTERIOR DOORS. THE CLOSET DOOR WERE TAKEN DOWN, BUT WAS NOT REPLACED. THE INSTALLER STARTED TO TAKE OFF MY WASHING MACHINE HOSE, WHICH CAUSED IT TO LEAK, SOME OF THE MOLDING WAS NOT PUT ON IN A FEW PLACES. WHEN I DISCOVERED ALL THE THINGS THAT IS LEFT UNDONE, I PHONED LOWE'S AND THE CONTRACTOR-ANGEL FLOORING TO MAKE THEM AWARE OF THE THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE CORRECTED. THE CONTRACTORS ALSO LEFT BEHIND SOME TYPE OF LONG PIECE OF ALUMINUM AND I BELIEVE IT IS TO MEASURE OR TO LEVEL THE FLOOR. THE GUYS FROM ANGEL FLOORING WAS ERICK, WAYNE, AND JOSH. I PAID $5,400 TO HAVE MY FLOORS DONE. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO GET ALL OF THESE THING CORRECTED?

Robbed & Assaulted at Lowe's

I attempted to return 2 carpet samples from Lowe's in Danvers, Massachusetts this afternoon that my girlfriend & I had borrowed a month ago. We were required to put the samples on a credit card and were charged $25 each ($50). The clerk told us that we would need to return the samples in order to get a refund and also instructed us to bring in the original slip. She also advised us that, alternately, we could opt to have the $50 applied to our carpet order. Granted, I will accept responsibility for not having looked at the hand written slip that they gave me (along with my printed register slip), because on the bottom, in small print, it says to return the samples within 3 days in order to avoid "late charges and penalties". It would have been nice if the clerk could have pointed that out when she gave me the other instructions. However, that does not excuse the treatment that I received. I was told that they would not refund any of the money - that the penalties and late fees exceeded the $50. They would not tell me how much their late fees were - the Manager told my girlfriend that he could make something up for her if she wanted that information. While I was debating this policy with the Department Manager, he lunged over the counter and wrestled the samples right out of my arms, saying that they belonged to Lowe's! I am 60 years old and am very sick with lung disease. This Manager was about 25 years younger than me and outweighed me by more than 25 lbs. He obviously had the physical advantage, so I did not attempt to retrieve the samples back (which I feel that I paid for). I guess that "Lowe's" is a fitting name for them, because you couldn't get much "lower" than that - having their Manager resort to assaulting a disabled customer. I called Lowe's corporate office and talked with someone in customer service. The woman offered to issue a refund check, however, 15 minutes later the Department Manager from Danvers called my home and told my girlfriend that no refund would be issued. He was extremely rude to her as well. Lowe's sure has a unique way of showing customer appreciation...not to mention that they handed a $3,000 carpet sale over to Home Depot. Lowe's is just breaking into our market in the Northeast, but won't stand a chance here if they think that bullying their customers is a way to get ahead.
