In April of 2005 I was told by store employees that Fishel Paykel appiances were the best washers and dryers available. I purchased the set and installed them in my home.

The washer was replaced less than six weeks later when it failed to drain water out at all during the spin cycle-I was left with a washer full of water for three days THE FIRST TIME.

THE SECOND TIME-appoximately 6 months later the same problem was experienced and then twice more each occurence approximately six months apart.

Each time I called the store and was told which repair company to call. The service companies(A & E-the first two times and Cernan Repair Co) came out and tried to repair my washer-one time programming a new computer panel with Fishel Paykel spec and flooded my bathroom and hall because the specs listed in the manual were incorrect.

The store had no trouble locating my record until February 2007 when the washer died again and I demanded my money back. After numerous discussions with local managers Gary and Chad and with the Executive Vicce Pesident of Customer Service Beth Hammond

I was given a settlement offer of $100.00 at the local level and subsequently was told by Beth Hammond that I was offered a $200.00 settlement in the form of a Lowes Gift Card. She was shocked when I told her I was offered a $100.00 card. The Lowes representatives just cannot get the details correct-even among themselves.

My dryer has failed within a week or two each time the washer failed and I have been forced to replace both appliances when Lowes refused to stand behind the merchandise even though both local store managers and Ms. Hammod admit both appliances are under warranty until April 22, 2007

I am not at all pleased with the offer of gift cards representing less than 20 % of the purchase price of the washer that I must spend in Lowes Stores. Why would I EVER go back into Lowes to make a purchase?

I did tell Ms. Hammond on Wednesday March 21, 2007 that I was not going to go away and have had no further communication with her.
