I had noticed a report about Olympic Paint not paying rebates. Unfortunatly after I had purchased 5 gallons. Lowes in Conroe Texas ran the offer and that swayed my decision away from Valspar. I followed the rebate instructions to the letter. 5 dollars a gallon with a maximum of 5 gallons. I was expecting 25 dollars back in the 8 to 10 week period. I emailed the company and have not heard back other than the automatic e response.

Today is now 12 weeks and nothing. I too hold Lowes responsible for continuing to sell there product. I would not have bought the material if the rebate had not been offered.

Hey folks, I had the same rebate from Olympic paints. I did everything I was supposed to, bought the paint, filled out the rebate, mailed it in. To my surprise, it took about 14 to 15 weeks to get my check, but I did get it. Give up on the b***h'in and give it a little time. Have you ever been behind??? No not you. Everyone gets behind once in a while. I asked the paint pro at Lowe's about the rebate, he was more than happy to call check and get me the info. However did any of you keep COPIES of the info. that you sent.???? A little extra time on your part, could save & make you some money in the long run!!!!

Lowes will give me the rebate?

I like Lowes, but I dont think they would give me the rebate at the store. If they did, then I would really have a beef with them. They should have just done that with all the rebates in the store and quit making me send them in thinking I am going to get money back. I wish that retailers would work like the grocers have been doing for 50yrs. Take the coupon at the register and let the retailer process the rebate. Then when the supplier doesnt refund the retailer, I guarantee there would be some action. I will give it a shot with the Lowes manager. Nicely!

Wow, now I feel like an idiot. I did the same thing with Minwax floor sealant, offering $5 rebate per gallon through Home Depot. Home Depot advertised it in their circular ads. I bought 4 gallons based on the sale price (actually the price minus the rebate--not a "sale" price at all). Home Depot didn't have the rebate forms out, so I had to go back on another date to get one. Then I see the rebate was limited to only 2 gallons. That should have been in the freakin' ad, since when refinishing floors, it is unlikely 2 gallons will get the job done and the price difference would have affected my choice of products. Well, it's been several weeks, and no lousy check for 10 bucks. I hate Minwax and Home Depot--maybe Home Depot more, since they were deceptive in their advertising and then they didn't have the rebate forms available after advertising them. Wheeee!!!!
