Lucas Barnes, steven Barnes i saw this rental property on craigs list, Oak Ridge Tennessee
i called the number on craigs list got the address of 149 wade lane, oak ridge tennessee my wife and 3 kids went and looked at it, liked it , called mr.lucas barnes, he met me, at the address, some work needed to be completed, no problem or so i thought, gave him 500.00 deposit, he gave me a written receipt, tried repeatedly to make contact with this man to no avail. this was on june 10th 2008, finally on june 21st he returns my call, he will only refund 250.00 of my deposit, is this a rip off or what ,
this landlord is a master fire fighter for knoxville tennessee, and he by far is a slumlord, so beware his ad is still on craigs list. when you call his phone you are forwarded to his voice mail,so you won't hear his name or a message. that should have told me something. the only reason i know where he works is one of his tenants, i hope he has no problem sleeping at night, i could never be such a jerk-off,

My wife and I are currently looking for a bigger place to rent, and I just wanted to thank you for the warning. I believe you could probably call the city for code enforcement on the guy - you know, hit him in the pocketbook.
If he is a slumlord its probably a guarantee that his properties are not up to code nor well maintained.

he has more properties on wade lane, one that was just , occupied by a drug dealer, seller, buyer,who was just arrested, it soon will be on craigs list ,...what a guy he owns several quad plexs on wade lane which is a dead end street in oak ridge tennessee , i am thankful mr. barnes screwed me he saved my family from a crack neighborhood that he owns kudos to the firemen in knoxville tennessee.
