I keep receiving calls, I have explained to them that the information they have is not me. The address is my address, But the middle initial is not mine, nor is the mother or fathers name they have listed mine. I have been told about 10 times that they would not contact me again and i still get a phone call about once a week. Today I received a letter saying I owed 450.00 and they would settle for 89.00 . The letter stated that If i did not feel this was a legitimate claim I had to respond in 30 days. I did send them a dispute letter via certified mail. I have asked them to leave me alone. The phone calls I have had with this company I either get hung up on or I get the run around.

They Claim they can't give me any information to prove this is my dept because I say it is not me and it would violate the other persons rights! What about my rights. Today I was cussed at and accused of harrasing them because I called in reponse to the letter if received. The problem was I confronted them on being a scam and suddenly I was being yelled at and told that i was opening someone else's mail. This company is the biggest scam I have ever seen. One of the representatives once even tried to pursuade me into saying that I could have orded magazines many years ago and forgot. But I didn't fall for it.

As I told the very rude and uproffession Sharon today that I appreciated the rude conversation we had this evening because she confirmed what I already knew She was a SCAM. Then I let her know that I was reporting them on RIPOFF.com as had many others and she did what they do best there, Hung UP on ME..

I am writing the letter because I want others to know these people are a SCAM and DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.!!!!!

Do NOT Call Them Back Unless You Are Recording The Call!

Check the laws in your state regarding recording. Put everything in writing. I started laughing when I read your post (I know it's not funny) about why they can't give you any information. Because if it ISN'T your debt, they could be in violation of laws, but they can still call and threaten and try to intimidate you? They can't. After you send them a letter demanding validation of the debt (they have to prove you owe it) and telling them that it is inconvient for them to call you (make sure you send the letter certified mail, return receipt requested), then contact the FTC and the Attorney Generals of IL and GA. Good luck.
