Natalie, I looked around a little and came to a conclusion that these punks calling themselves "Luebke Baker & Associates" are JUNK DEBT BUYERS. Furthermore, they are new to the business as they are not listed anywhere as being in this business, nor are there any older complaints on any of the popular consumer/credit/collections sites. Another indicator of them being new to the business is the type and age of debt purchased. These are virtually worthless and anyone can purchase a portfolio of them for less than 1/10th of a penny on the dollar. Tom is right, NEVER call ANY debt collector, and NEVER take thier calls. Immediately send a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS letter as per your rights under the FDCPA. Send it by certified mail, return reciept requested. Put the certified# label on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. Got to FTC.gov and file an online complaint against them. This is very important so the FTC starts looking at them. Also check to see if they are licensed to do debt collections both in thier state and yours. many debt buyers feel they do not need to be licensed to collect on purchased debts. This is an incorrect assumption.

1)Stop talking to anyone on the phone about this! You can't just hope that they won't harass you anymore. You need to tell them that they will not harass you anymore. You need to write a letter to them just to be sure this is dealt with.Say: _______________ This is not my account and not my debt.I request that you cease and desist from all further attempts to contact or communicate with me. _______________ Send this certified with a return receipt requested. These guys are not professional and it is a scam.Do not deal with them. Get a copy of FDCPA,FCRA and FACTA.(GOOGLE) Good luck.
