I ordered both Lumanelle Hydrate and Lumanelle Repair. I did not order on the first advertisement, and when I "x" out of it, a "But Wait" sign came on that extended the 14-day trial period to a 40-day trial period. This sounded to be a more reasonable time frame of which to try their product.

As I do with all my on-line ordering, I wrote a note in my smart phones' calendar with an alarm attached to remind me 1). When I order a product, 2.) expected time of arrival and 3.) when I need to call them on a time related issue, such as cancelling a subscription. The "But Wait" allowed for a 40-day trial (my receipt showed I ordered on May 2, 2014), and I marked my calendar at 35 days, June 6, 2014.

Much to my surprised, my credit card showed these two charges in que on May 18th, 2014. I called my credit card company and confirmed. Next, I called the 800 number for Lumanelle. What a joke in customer service.

I was told their system showed no such extension, only the 14 days. Because their system showed no such extension, I was given the option to return their products with the RMA number they gave me for a full refund or, recieve a 50% discount. The latter, was not initially given as an option until I was pretty annoyed and wasn't about to let them off the hook by saying I would report them to the Better Business Bureau, write in negative reviews, etc. They don't want to give you a full return, and apparently is a last option.

I opted for the full money back return however I don't trust them to comply, or be so long in crediting my account, 30-45 days. Despite I was indicating a fraud situation on their sites, the customer service person I spoke with, could care a less. She spoke as if reading from a script and just kept repeating the two options, saying "I have given you the option of..."

.Repeating "I have given you the options of..." is legalese language. My receipt did not indicate anywhere on it, any time period, either 14-days or 40 days. This is problematic for the consumer.

By giving the consumer some options, they appear willing to thwart a wrong, despite their options, I felt, were not consumer friendly. There was no one to esculate to, no alternative number to call to either investigate a possible fraud or report fraud, nothing.

Once the charge is deducted from my credit card, I will contest the charge and include the Delivery Confirmation number of the mail receipt. This way, I do not have to trust their integrity to give me a full return, as I personally don't believe they deserve any.

This is one reason to do on-line purchasing on "credit" and not "debit," becauseof the ability of your credit card institution to refund the money back to your account immediatedly, and my credit card institution will do their own investigation.
