Lumberjack Construction - Rusty Martinjako Dishonest Took 4 times as long to do project still didnt fnish then sued us? Flagstaff Arizona
This is a very dishonest contractor. Was not on site as the "construction manager" yet claimed to be. Had a "head guy" who was a literal idiot that did not have a clue as to the construction process. All help was less than half assed! Overcharged and added different "accounts" to our bill where work was not performed. Did work we told him not to do. Did multiple tasks wrong and then re-charged us again to do it right.
Multiple incidents of finding literally hundreds of pulled nails (not even smart enough to clean them up). Windows were not framed in correct places, had to redo multiple windows at you guessed it, our expense. Roof structure which is normally completed in 1 month for this type of home took him 4 months and he still couldn't/didn't finish it. He then turned around and sued us (adding another subcontractor to his lawsuit so he could "piggyback".)
No morals and or ethics here. Steer clear of this contractor. We built in summer/fall, however he used us to keep his payroll going through the winter months. Kept saying it will be done end of the month, every month.......DISHONEST (but he's in church every Sunday)....go figure! Do NOT hire this contractor! RUN!

I have known and been associated with Rusty (Lumberjack construction) since 1988 as a co-worker, draftsman, supplier, and friend. I have been and will continue to regularly recommend him to clients for his integrity, honesty, and high quality work. I would defiantly question the complainant ethics and morals and talk with any of Rustys customers, sub-contractors, and suppliers before you trust anything he has to say.

I have been associated with Lumberjack Construction and its owner, Rusty Martinjako, since 1989 as a coworker, employee and supplier. Rusty's knowledge of residential construction design, materials and processes is of the highest level I have been associated with in my 35 years in the industry.
Since 1999 I have worked as a contractor salesman at a local lumber yard and Lumberjack Construction has been one of our most valued customers. In these past 10 plus years I have worked with Rusty and his employees integrally on bidding, material supply, and problem solving on numerous projects, including the one this report is about. Rusty is an honest, skilled, detail oriented professional and his employees are equally talented. I do not have or know of a single complaint after having worked with and for him for over 20 years. We regularlly recommend Lumberjack Construction to our customers asking for referrals and will continue to do so.
This report is, at the very least, misguided and seems to be a spiteful retaliation directed at an individual of high professional standards for reasons subject to wide speculation. I question Ripoff Report for posting it with no apparent fact checking or verification of the allegations and statements contain in it.
