My wife signed up to the Free.ca newsletter. This company advertises a free sample for $3.95. When you are signing up they put you through the typical complicated signup process, then have you agree to there extremely detailed and small print terms and conditions. In the process you give them your financial information and they are having you agree to sign up to receive regular packages from several different products and apparently different companies.

All of them charge your card a small fee that you probably won't notice at first and then they begin to charge you about $100 USD per product per month, they are sent out close enough together that you don't notice the charges until 2 or 3 of them are already added to your credit card and there is no way to reverse them. I reported my wife's card lost in the hopes of preventing further charges, because I am afraid that even after phoning and yelling at them for about 10 minutes that they will not stop the charges on anything I didn't mention and wasn't aware of as yet, whatever you do, if you request free samples online, DO NOT give any financial information.
