We worked on this car nearly ten years ago. That design Chrysler had a black plastic panel between the rest doors and the back window. As I remember the customer asked if we could paint the part with the car. I advised her it was a non painted part from Chrysler and the part needed to be replaced to make it look like new. The old part was very Sun faced and the plastic was detonating. I'd seen this problem many times on the same model of car. The owner did not want to spend the money to correct it the way I suggested and asked if we could just paint it so it would look better. That was what I delivered, and I believed at no additional charge.

I to had a horrible exprience at maaco i brought my 1990 ford mustang to maaco to be painted the car has been in my family for 13 years and i wanted to spruce it up so i had it painted a mettalic blue they painted literaly the entire car i had to replace the side mirrors because they were painted over they also painted parts of the windows. the car was already chipping when i picked it up 5 days later when they told me it would only take 2 days when called the owner he told me basicly what do you expect i told him i at least expect the paint to be where is suppose to be not on the windows and mirrors or when i go to pick it up i dont expectfor the paint to be chipping or "dirt bubbles"to be covering the vehicle for 1000.00 they could have done a better job the owner is a cheesy jerk if your thinking about taking your car or truck to maaco i would strongley urge you to find somebody who knows what there doing. I will be taking my car somewhere else soon to get it painted the right way so i basicly threw 1000.00 down the drain.

those black panels on the c pillar(i believe that is what you are talking about) are just plastic pieces that can be removed and replaced. i know that i replaced hundreds of them, mostly under warranty because of peeling. it would probably cost a whole lot less to replace than to have a shop repaint them.

My car was also painted by Maaco...It was over $1,000 that my son paid. They do not tell you, that you must do this and do that and if you dont the paint job will look like hell. If they told people to tape everything off and sand it down and prime it themselves, maybe just maybe the paint would look good, but doubtfull. They do not tell you that all they do is paint it with contaminated air lines. They are supposed to prime cars, but past experience showed they did not. They are a company out to disillusion the public and are doing a good job of it. Their management does not care and talks to customers like they are stupid and dont know a d**n thing. You are not alone my friend, and the manager in Madison with his big gold chains and rings should be a tip off to the type of business he runs.

First of all, yeah its a cheap job, but what do u expect? You can't get them to do everything for nothing! I had to take my car there, but i was smart enough to buff down the original paint job so that they wouldnt be painting over paint chips! You need to give them something to work with.
