On January 12 I received the information from Mack on how to exercise my five year warranty on a Canon Camera bought in '06 that stopped working.  The USB port stopped working and within a month the entire camera stopped working.  The camera was mailed in along with money to cover return shipping.

Although the information suggested I would hear within 3 days and also in capital letters instructed me NOT TO SEND ANY ACCESSORIES INCLUDING BATTERIES AND ADAPTERS, I did not hear until two or three weeks later.

They said the repair would be $125 due to impact damage and the defects resulting from this impact damage were no power and the doors broken off.  THERE WAS NO POWER BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME NOT TO SEND THE BATTERIES AND ADAPTERS.  I told them as much.  I also swore that I never ever dropped the camera.  Furthermore, I have the little plastic door that covers the flash card..it just wore off.  (They said all side panels were broken off)

I have asked twice for them to review this quote that all of the defects were due to manufacturer issues not impact.  I have had no response and as of today, resent my request for a final review.

There is absolutely no point in buying an extended warranty from Mack camera.  If I don't hear the correct response, I am going to forward this information to the Attorney General's office.
