Harold: I believe you did receive that on the email not from the bank statement..

The difference between a debit and a hold!

Dear Sick of the lies and Bull****, First of all, you don't seem to understand the difference between a charge and an authorization hold. Many companies will verify your credit / debit card by placing a $1.00 authorization hold to your account to verify the validity of your card. If you talk to your bank who issued the card, they will tell you that after a period of time (usually 7 days) if the charge is not processed, the hold will be released. MagicJack has no control over the hold amount policies of your bank. Furthermore, it seems you didn't do your homework on what areas have local exchanges for you. Basic common sense (which seems to be an oxymoron in your case) dictates that one research the details before ordering anything over the Internet. I did my homework and was well aware that I couldn't get a local exchange for my area. I wasn't ordering MagicJack so my friends could call me on a local number, but to have the means to make toll calls for free! I ordered two MagicJack units, received them quickly, and they worked just as promised. Sure, I had issues with needing to open specific ports on my firewall, but that was clearly explained in the instructions both included with the units and their online instructions. And, lastly, your vulgar language was unnecessary and inappropriate. Had I been on the receiving end of your vulgarity, I too would have treated you with the same rude response that you deserved. MagicJack works! Period! Read the instructions, do your homework, and you will know what you are buying. Ignorance is no excuse or justification for your response, and is certainly unfair to the company and its support staff. The moral of this story is that you caused the problem yourself by not knowing what you were buying and using vulgarity when you weren't given what YOU wanted. It's a shame that you chose to slander and attack a company that IS providing exactly what they advertise. MagicJack works if you simply take the time to understand what it is that you are buying.
