The only problem I had when I installed mine was it wouldn't work in the USB hub I plugged it in to. I then plugged it into a PPOWERED USB hub and it worked, and has continued to work, great. HOWEVER, the companny's advertising claims you get the item for 30 days FREE TRIAL. It IS NOT FREE. I was charged immediately, which caused 1 check to bounce. Their Live Help is as useless as eBays and they refused to give me a customer support phone number or even a company address to write to. I did find that info on the internet.

I have used the Magic Jack now for about 6 months. I've made and received tons of calls, 99.9% of the calls are crisp and clear. As good or better then other VOIP companies. I have even carried the little device outside the USA and made calls back home... For Free! Works great with fax machines as well. Packet 8 charges and additional $9.99 a month to be able to fax. Anyone who is having issues with the device should look first at their PC, is there two many processes running that is causing poor performance? I actually have the Magic Jack conncted to an old IBM Thinkpad (300 mhz) with no performance issues. The second item to consider is your broadband connection. I know when I was on Comcast, I would experience very unreliable connection speeds. For $39.99 the first year and then $19.99 every year there after this is a fantastic device.
