Magic Jack 30 day free trial is deceptive West Palm Beach Florida
I ordered the magicjack on Dec 10th. I went online to my bank that evening and a charge was already on my card. I tried to call but could not speak to a person so I had a live chat and was told that my card had not been charged although my bank indicated that it had been. The next day the charge was gone but the amount is still being withheld from my available funds.
I spoke to my friend who recommended that I buy the product and she was having a lot of problems with it so after reading a lot of the reviews on line I decided that I didn't want to even deal with it.
First of all, I have never rec'd a confirmation that my order was accepted but when I had the live chat I did get my order number. Well, four days later I still have not rec'd a confirmation that the order was rec'd nor has it been shipped.
The 30 day free trial starts on the day that you order the product but four days later, as far as I know, it still has not been shipped. Having gotten the order number I went in to print the form so I could return the product as soon as I rec'd it thinking that I had until Jan 10th to return before they charged my account. Well, I got the return information and it states very clearly the the item must be returned by Dec 27th for a return credit. That is two full weeks BEFORE my 30 day free trial is supposed to be over.
I would not recommend this product to anyone because it seems that the company is very deceptive. The website does not tell you that if your area code is not available you must use the area code of the closet available city and that anyone locally who calls you will be charged a long distance call. They don't tell you that you will have to change your phone number. When ordering they don't include your state's taxes so you think that you will be charged one thing but once it comes out of your account it is a different amount because of the taxes.
The online chat people couldn't answer my questions to my satisfaction They did not seem very knowledgable.
Bottom line, I have not even rec'd the product and already it isn't worth the hassle!
