Magic Jack Is NOT A Free Trial magic jack, computer phone, VoIP, USB Phone West Palm Beach Florida
The Magic Jack free trial actually charged me the day after I ordered the product. $50.85 was taken from my account the very next day. They claim it's a hold to verify that my bank account is legit. You can verify an account with $1. Not to mention, they have no phone support? I have transcript of the chat correspondence, where the person on the other end essentially left the chat without proving to me where on the website that it states that they hold funds.
I got the package and immediately sent it back UNOPENED via certified mail.
I have verified with my bank that the money was NOT a hold. It left my account 3 days after the order and was no longer pending. 20+ emails later and 3 email "support" chats later, I just get generic responses and they money will be in my account in 7-10 business days.
They refuse to answer my questions like "how is this a free trial?" and "do you have verification that you received the package unopened?". I have a card here signed by "CL" in the warehouse showing receipt.
I submitted a complaint to the BBB, now they have closed it because MagicJack claimed that they returned my money. I've gotten $3.95 back and nothing further yet. 21 days later.
Peter Russo is the contact. (561) 722-0433. I found this out from the Better Business Bureau. I called and the phone picked up and I just heard background noise, people talking. I called again and it goes straight to voicemail. Leaving a voice mail is completely in vain because I know it won't be returned. I keep trying to call that number to get a live person.
I encourage everyone to do the same. Report this company to the BBB.
