Magic Jack The most unethical company I have ever encountered WEst Palm Beach Florida
I too have been a victim of Magic Jack's tactics. I recently ordered one magic jack as it sounded interesting and since I was not going to be charged for 30 days, well, what had I to lose? Well money and over three hours on their "chat support" You see there are no live people who work there. Two days after ordering, my bank account was charged $91.64. This was on a hold for i day and then got processed.
I contacted them through their chat support and was told that i ordered 2, which I did not. And they also said that the money had not been charged but would be on Oct. 6th. While I was chatting, and getting no where with a very illiterate person, another charge appeared on my account for $46.90.
I could not get through to this person that this had happened. She insisted that it did not. Now I was born at night, but not last night. I then contacted my bank and they advised me to cancel out my card, which I did. They will start a dispute once all the money has been deducted from my account.
$138.54. "for 1 stupid Magic Jack" After chatting with three other individuals, I finally got a return form for 2 devices, but they would not give me one for the last one charged. It is now3 am, and after reading other coments, I have the billing number and office number in West Palm Beach, which "chat" would not give me.
Thank you for the numbers, whomever you are. I will start the dispute, contact the Dept. of Consumer affairs in Tallahassee. I should have done my research, my mistake. And as they say "buyer beware" It is appalling that there are so many thieves.
