My husband saw this ad on TV, just buying a house, he felt that what we were paying in phone bill and internet was a great hinder. He asked my opion on this product. I went along with it hoping we would not get ripped off. I put it on our charge and they promised on TV your account would not be charged for 30 days. It was only 15 days after the order.

We moved, hoping this thing would work out.Rendering my phone service to Verizon. Hoping to save a few bucks. Well, been in our new home 3 weeks, and I am now expericing tech problems with Magic Jack.

I shortly found out, I have to leave my system on 24-7 to have phone service. I also noticed while leaving my system on, sometime i would end up with no phone due to a glitch or what ever, and magic jack would be comepletly gone! I had also found out sometimes it does not want to load properly. The best has yet to come as I continue on with my gripe here.

I do not leave my system on while sleeping but with a mother in law who is 93 needs emergencies from time to time, i have no choice to let my expensive system suffer.

If the electric goes out no phone, if your cable or DSL goes down, no phone. If you are having computer problems and can not access your system no phone. there are alot of issues with this product.

For the last few days, I have noticed having problems with my system. I thought it was a bug. I had trouble with the phone yesterday, all day, I decided to reformat today.

I have reformatted 3 times today! Magic jack will not load into my system. I had also noticed yesterday since using it more since we moved I was always unplugging it and plugging it back in for it to take. I have reformatted today 3 times and still do not have magic jack in my system yet, oh yeah, the driver is there but nothing else. I am right now with out a phone for 3 hours due to the fact. to keep from wiping out my hard drive again and trying to install Magic jack just to have a phone tonight, I have tried to uninstall the driver, to no advail.

Another issue is my husband knows nothing about computers and does not cae to know anything about them, my poor computer will take a beating and posably be runined from being on so much, if I am not here to fix this issue.

I have yet to find a person to speak to from magic jack. Their web site is full of sales promises but no one to talk to they are off line!

Right now, I am so digusted, cause I also noticed when magic jack is trying to load, you can not do nothing at all until it loads. Now it is not loaded into my system after many tries for 3 hours hopefully when I awake, my system will be cooled down where it will either take or I have to reformat again.

It started ou great for 30 days, now it appears it stopped working..

All I have to say here is, reconsider your choice of phone service cause you do not get what you pay for in this product, Oh yes, I was asked today if i was on a cell phone cause it was so static she could barely hear me. The connection is appearing to suck.. And it will cut you off too out of the blue as if your on a cell phone. So please, we got ripped for $39.00 do not let yourself be ripped off. reconsider your options. I guess I will be going with cable phone service soon!

Got a reply from the BBB here is what Magic jack did.. Better Business Bureau. Yes, I reformatted 3 times within hours cause MJ kept me from loading windows, before realizing what was causing the problem. After finding out it was MJ doing all the computer problems. I had to use my second MJ they sent me, to get driver in, and come to find out It was asking me for a new phone number! I reformatted more then 3 times cause every time I went to upload the driver in my system, it kept my windows from loading properly, once I pulled magic jack out of my USB windows would work just like it should. Bad product. I was also afraid it was going to ruin my USB from pulling it out so many time to load on my system. My Dell is fairly new the money I paid for this system MJ is not worth having to buy a new computer. Infact-the day I got my cable phone in, when the cable guy came, I pulled MJ out of the usb port, It crashed, his eyes got huge. I was unsure at this point if my system would even run. So I did what I was going to do go to cable.

Majic Jack will not refund after trial period even though you hhave paid a full year. LOOK and see what I was told

I have read horror stories about MJ. And am quite upset over it all. NEVER EVER buy info commericals nor fall into their scam.This is definetly a scam to get your money back. I am how ever going to get a hold of the BBB in Fla and here in Pa. I will be contacting some one in Harrisburg, Pa. attorney general . But this is an update of a wee bit of an issue here. Anyone who combats me, whom I suppose you do work for this company or affliated in any manner will also be submitted. So take heed to all you MJ lovers!
