Majestic Benefits ripoff, total scam, offered credit card but got nothing Champlain New York
My girlfriend one day got a call on her cell phone saying they were from Majestic Benefits which they claimed was a credit card she had applied too and like the others offered her a $5000 credit line on a credit card for $299 up front. I had my doughts cause they didn't even ask for her SSN which for me is strange for a credit card company not to even ask for that. After she got done talking on the phone she told me about it and made me worry so I typed on a search every possiblity of the spelling of the company's name cause she didn't know exactly how to spell it and found the listing here about it being a scam. I really became worried and since she couldn't get ahold of the company to stop the withdraw process from starting all we could do is wait for it to be taken from the checking account but one a possitive note for once I am glad we had money trouble and was in the negitaive at the time, it would have made us so negitive that the checking account would have closed but instead the bank just refused to pay it and just charged use a NSF fee , which I will be talking to the bank about to see if i can have that taken off also.
We got lucky that we didn't get scammed out of the $299 like so many others. I hope to never hear from this company again unless its a lawyer saying we won a part of a settlement (and this being in writting) against this company.
