I was contacted by a gentleman named Jim from Majestic Benefits. He told me I was approved for a mastercard with a balance of $5000 limit. No interest for the first six months and no annual fee. He told me to be careful not to be fooled by the stored credit card companies who may call.

I asked him how he got my number and he said I may have applied on-line for a mastercard. He told me this was an unsecured card. He said because of my low credit rating there would be a one time fee of 299.00.

He just kept going back to the fact to be careful of calls for stored credit cards. Which in the long run I found out is just a fancy way of saying secured card.

He told me I would recieve my card in approximately 30 days. When I called 5 weeks later they told me it was processed and that I could expect it in a few days.

Well the card did not arrive, but a package with all kinds of coupons and a form for me to fill out and send back along with 39.95. I called majestic to inquire about the additional 39.95 and was told that it was for processing.

I asked them what the 299. was for and got that is our fee for getting you the SECURED MASTERCARD.

I told them that is not what I was told it was stated to me that it was a unsecured card. And that the gentleman told me about stored cards and beware. They said well it is'nt their fault I misunderstood what I was getting.

I told them I was'nt interested in the card. I was told then just don't mail in the acceptance form.

I requested a refund of my money and was told they don't refund money and it is my fault for not understanding what I was getting. I believe they were fraudelent, and lied about what I was getting just to get my money

I found this site and have filed a complaint with the attorny general of Upper NY, the BBB of NY and also the the federal trade commission. I am also considering contacting my local news media to expose this lying cheating company. I am going to my bank today and request a reversal of the charges, I did not authorize them.

I am asking to file a federal regulation E form.

THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED OF ITS FRAUDELENT SPEECH IT GIVES TO CONSUMERS.

I got my money back. File a complaint with the state attorney general in your state. I also filed one with the NY atty. gen. office. I received a letter from both states within 3 weeks. I got a letter today stating my money will be deposited back into my account within 7 days. BBB said to give them until 06/23/05 the 45 days limit to get a response back. I called the bank, the money was in my account 06/01/05. Boy was I ever suprised. (look for the sophia, wv addresses, that is me)

Majestic Benefits-fraudulent way of getting honest people to give them cash

I have written Majestic Benefits requesting my money back. Of course I have not heard anything back from this low life of a company. I did write to The BBB of upper NY, the attorny generals office and the federal trade commission. Today I recieved a letter from the BBB, they have forwarded my complaint to Majestic. And when they hear from them they will mail me a copy of the responds. I highly doubt that this company cares and will not respond. They suggest waiting 4 to six weeks, and if I have not haeard anything from Majestic or the BBB I should contact the BBB of upper NY, They also said if Majestic does not settle with me I should take them to small claims court. I think if enough of us could go in on a class action suit we could strip this deceitful company out of business, but I don't have any idea how to go about that. Anyone out there have any ideas. For security reasons I know that this site does not give out email addresses, but I do check this site daily.
