Complaint Review: MAJESTIC HOMES - JPG ENTERPRISES - Internet Internet

He is using his girlfriend to run everything through her.  The company name they are starting it out under is Sandy Fields, LLC.  He still lives very LARG in North PAlm Beach FL.  

I am glad that you experience with JPG enterprises work out well for you.  That has not been the case for the vast majority of homeowners I have spoken to. In almost all cases there were enexpected and unexplained (truthfully) delays. In many cases there were additional cost associated with getting the homes completed. Some were additional fees charged by JPG while some came from things like extending construction loans.

I must that you are truly one of the lucky ones.  I hope you as lucky in other endevors.

I recently sa a rebuttle by John George of JPG Enterprises (Majestic homes and Realty).  The company went bankrupt several years ago, so I am suprised to see a recent remark from him.  I hope that is not an indication that this man will try to get back into the home building industry.  Dealing with him was such a nightmare that i do periodic checks to make sure he isn't.

Nothing he or the company says can be taken at face value. For instance, They said that the home will be ready with 12 months after the slab is poured. What they don't tell you is that they will not pour the slab until many month after it is expected. In my case a year.  Their reason was that PSL building was very busy and did not issue the required permit.  When I checked with the building department, no application was filed. Turns out that JPG was being sued by the surveyors for lack of payment and would do no further work for them. So they just lied to the customers. The permit was issued a week after the application was finally submitted.

Another example. His website and promotional material highlighted  that they members in good standings with the BBB and other organizations.  That playede a big part in my decision the select them as my builder.  Once all the problems started, I called the BBB. They told JPG was not a member and in fact the BBB had been trying to get JPG to remove their logo and the statements that they were members. JPG just continued to ignore their requests.

Every inch of the way was like this. One lie after another. Nothing they said could be trusted. To make a long story short: a home that was to be completed in December 05 was not done until July 07. The icing on the cake was that they used chinese drywall to complete the home. Of course by the time it was discovered, they were out of business and untouchable.

Please, please do not let this person take advantage of you.

Facts:

Our contract states that Certificate of Occupancy will be issued 12 months from the date the slab was poured. Currently offering 7 months or we pay the Buyer $2,000 per month.

Contract signing is not the same as closing on your home. Closing has to do directly with the Buyers such as credit, employment verification, etc. which Majestic has no control of, which would affect the delivery time of the home.

Every buyer meets with the Builder for the plan review of custom designing of their home.

All home buyers have a pre-drywall meeting at their home with the Builder to further reconsider any changes or additions.

Majestic can verify that there has never been a building permit issued for any of our houses within 3 days, we wish this was the case.

Possible Reasons for Delays:

Each home buyer provides their own lot, which again the Builder does not control. A home-site could possibly have unknown setbacks or requirements, which could cause delays in permitting as well as construction. Environmental issues may also cause delays. All home buyers are asked to have Majestic investigate, at no cost, before purchasing.

Customized plans could lengthen construction time, however, this personalize the home for our families.

Builder provides walk-thru's to Buyers at interior framing. If there are any changes requested by the Buyer to the interior design of home, this would cause a delay.

During 2004 & 2005 Hurricane Season, South Florida endured numerous hurricanes causing delays by all building departments and field work. One of the Building Departments closed down and relocated their offices and numerous plans were misplaced.

Shortage of building materials due to the damages caused by the numerous hurricanes.

after years of living in a Majestic home i now know "WHAT A GREAT HOME IT IS".

YES, they told me why their homes were better,  now comparing my monthly electric bills to others, i surely know.

we agree that there were some issures, we worked thru them, and  in the end got a SUPERIOR built home.

the industry several years ago had problems with skilled workers, however Majestic and its owner John P george worked with us
