Mandela Aikman, Minerva Trading Services Forex Scam, Ponzi Scheme, InterbankFX Investment Advisor Kingston Jamaica
Between October 2008 and April 2009, I made numerous sizable investment loans to Mandela Aikman, of Minerva Trading Services (Kingston, Jamaica), for the sole purpose of trading with InterbankFX (Salt Lake City, UT). All funds were wired to Mr. Aikman's personal bank account held with CitiBank (Miami, FL) during this period, but soon thereafter, I learned that Mr. Aikman was misappropriating all or a portion of those funds to his business accounts instead of the intended purpose. On or about March 2009, Mr. Aikman failed on meeting his interest payment obligations.
Upon arousing my suspicions of a potential Ponzi Scheme, I requested that my outstanding balance be withdrawn from my trading account, and returned in full. However, Mr. Aikman failed to comply with my request and has since been avoiding me, bounced several checks, and even falsified official bank documents. In May 2009, Mr. Aikman admitted to having the money but has since refused to return my outstanding balance.
Upon investigating into this matter further, I've learned of several other investors who have been defrauded of their savings and their funds misappropriated, using InterbankFX as a front for these illegal activities. Consequently, I filed a complaint with InterbankFX in May 2009 to help facilitate further investigations, but they were not very supportive of my case and only providing a short, canned response:
"We received your email. We are very sorry. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any information. We recommend that you contact your local law enforcement."
I have filed further complaints with Fraud Squad (Kingston, Jamaica) and the FBI (Miami, FL), who are both currently investigating into this matter. I urge you to contact your local law enforcement to file a complaint against Mr. Mandela Aikman, if you feel that you have been defrauded.
