Complaint Review: Mare INC - Matt And Robert Shirley - Nebraska City Nebraska

There are 168 hours in a week. To Run 8000+ Miles in 168 hours the wheels would have to turn near 50 Miles Per Hour Every Second of Every Minute of Every Hour of Every Day of the 7 Days in a Week.

Can YOU/ME/WE Say "IMPOSSIBLE"!!!!!!

No Driver has Ever Received their Escrow upon Severing Employment as a Good Driver does? Not True. Absolutely False. Some Actually Give Notice! Return the Equipment as Agreed upon to the Company's Facilities. Some Drivers Actually Finish their Assigned Duties. Some Drivers Do Not Abandon Equipment and/or Freight.

All Drivers Read and Signed a Drivers Responsibility/Handbook that had a Signature on the Bottom of Every Page. In this Document it Outlined How Monies Could/Would be Deducted from Driver Compensations and Drivers Acknowledged and Agreed to the Provision. At the bottom of Every Page there was a Signature Block for a Company Representative to Sign, usually myself as the Document was Reveiwed with the Driver. As stated within the Document the Company Retains the Original and gives a Copy to the Driver.

Wages are Negotiable. I would think that some one as yourself would be Thankful that Any Company would Offer you a Position with Little No Experience. There are No US DOT Requirements on how much Expierence a Driver must have, only that the Driver has Passed Mandatory Screening by State Examiners who have Deemed them Safe to Operate the Equipment. However, some have Failed to Meet Our Standards on the Driving Test which would lead some to Ponder how the Driver Obtaned a CDL.

Usually a Driver With No Expierence can Expect to make $0.25 per Mile. I don't know Where you DSreamed you were making $0.30 a Mile as my Top Drivers that had been with me for years, and Yes, they did work there when you passed through were making $0.30 per Mile.

There are No Fake Driver Files for the US DOT. You are Very Stupid to Believe that the DOT can be Faked. When the DOT Conducts an Audit, they know what they are looking for befor they walk in the doors. They want the Driver Qualification Files of Drivers that are Incapable of Completing their Assigned Duties Without Violating the Law.

Log Book Violatons leading to Out of Service, Failing to Properly Inspect and Maintain the Equipment in the Driver's Possession leading to Out of Service, Accidents caused by Driver Error and leadinding to Violations.

Everything the US DOT is Looking for is WHAT Drivers are DOING Wrong!!!!

We Bought New Equipment to keep from having Equipment Out of Service, but if the Wheel Holders Never Get Out of the Seats to Look????? There has to be a Mechanism in Place to Compensate Employees, but the Job is NOT Wheel Holding. Safely getting Equipment and Cargo from Point A to Point B Safely is a Must. Hitting Something that doesn't move Unaceptable. Are you Paid to Hit Things? Hitting things in a Truck Stop Unacceptable! Being Hit and you have No Clue by Who? Unacceptable! Everytime One of Our Trucks Hits something Our Phone Rings.

The Trial, You did win. The only Employee to do so. Our Attorney was a No Show, Ill. He had Filed Papers with the Court. The Judge would not Allow Me to Introduce anything without Counsel. I never thought to ask for an Continuance, but I doubt it would have been Granted as you were from out of town and my Attorney had not contacte the Court.

My Ex-Wife and I were getting a Divorce. Mare, Inc. is a Sub-Chapter C Coporation, not a Sub-Chapter S Coporation attached to Individual Social Security Numbers.

My Ex-Wife has never Filed Bankruptcy.

Matt and Tim got difficult to deal with. I left when I could no longer stand the circumstances. I don't know what was said and I know you were not there so you don't know what went on.

Since then a friend told me he was on the phone with them and the Feds showed up and the Cursing that was going on. Some one else told me the Otoe County Sheriff Department refused to respond and the Nebraska Patrol was required to respond to calls there.

I received Notice from the US Bankruptcy Court that Matt and his wife filed Bankruptcy as they listed me as some one they owed money to and wanted thedebt discharged. I never had any plans of pursuing money from them.

Matt and Tim are Now Federal Convicted Felons. Matt was Incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton South Dakota and Tim did his bit at the Federal Correctional Institution in Pekin Illinois.

Steven you are not as Smart s you think, you did win because our Attorney was a No Show, Not because you were Right. You Read and Signed the Agreement. You were Hired @ $0.25 per Mile youwalked inwith your eyes wide open and Thankful for an Opportunity. No Law was Broken. The Insurance Company did Exclude Drivers from time to time, but you were fortunate. I got along well with my Agent. No Laws there either. The worst thiing they could ever do was Refuse Coverage. You are not too Smart. Shame On You.

Robert Shirley, I would not of commented on here if it were not for your sorry excuse of a rebuttal. what a crock, robert shirley was the ring leader of all the shirleys in their thieving hay days. Matt Shirley although not a good at standing up for himself or any one else is a good man and not the brains behind the lies, stealing, and most importantly law breaking. I was shocked to see how many people had the same problem I had with Robert Shirley. he hired me two days after I got my CDL with NO professional experience whatsoever. slapped me on the back and said good luck. he said I had to have an "escrow " account for emergencies and such HA they keep this money from every driver I have ever talked to, never paid the amount per mile promised. I, like others had an accident which was another drivers fault at a truck stop and he would not turn it in to his insurance and wanted me to pay for it out of my pocket, tried to deny me my paycheck which had by the way over eight thousand miles on a one week run from ne city to southern california to phoenix to detroit MI, back to omaha then to ne city, all in one weeks time. ( highly illegal but told to do it ) and all of my escrow account. because of the accident he said. He had every driver I know drive double the allowed miles and hours, took every drivers that I know escrow account and denied paycheck, and oh ya also hired drivers like me w no experience or bad records and kept false driver files in the office for DOT and insurance companies, these drivers did not even work for them any more. I can say all of this because it is documented in court, I was the only one that I know of that kept good records and took Robert Shirley to court in ne city and WON. I was awarded all of my miles driven and my escrow account, he told the judge that I wrecked his truck and he told him, that is what insurance is for !  it was awesome, especially to see his smug a*s looking at me like he was going to beat me like he does every one else and I loved looking at him when the judge gave his decision and scolding of Robert Shirley it was the best day of my life. I hope he never is allowed to be back into trucking. he also ran off with Mare's money and ran and hid, leaving his wife to whom he had put the company in her name because he couldn't have it in his name, left her to be bankrupt not him, what an a*s. robert shirley I hope I see you again some day. Shame on you Robert Shirley. 

If the owners of the company formerly known as Mare,Inc were as honest and fair as they make themselves out to be, why change the company name so much? I stayed out for a WHOLE SOLID MONTH and did NOT recieve one cent of my money! They are liars and theives when it comes to their employees, or as they refer to them, "Family" and should be idenfinitely put out of buisness! Also, they tried to deny my employment so they wouldnt have to send out a w-2 form. I guess they would have been right as far as saying that I never worked for them under their NEW company name. But when they were known as Mare, I was employed there. I signed on, as I mentioned when I first posted this, to make .30 cpm and never recieved it. I calculated the miles with the cents per mile reducing it by 1 cent at a time until I got to .28 cpm. Evertything added up right at .28 and when I brought it to Matt's attention, all he had to say was "Uh.......Let me check on that." It was never fixed. That company, no matter what name they have or how many times they change it, will ALWAYS be a Rip-off, half-a$$, no good, sorry, lying, theiving, crooked company with sorry people working in the office. Be careful when you meet them because they will take everything from you without even a second thought!Also so there's no confusion...I lived in Beatrice, NE while I worked for Mare, Inc.

LD Transfer Co., Inc. was owned by Bobby T. Shirley, who went bankrupt.

I had a difference of opinion with Matthew Shirley and I have not been associated with Mare, Inc. for approximately 2 years. I have never been associated with it's successor, Frits Transportation, LLC. Matthew Shirley, his wife Rebecca Miyoshi-Shirley, and Timothy Shirley are Fritis, LLC.

I do not know who is the Dustin Gordon Nebraska, or the situation. I have heard that Matthew Shirley, Rebecca Miyoshi-Shirley, and Timothy Shirley have had Labor Relations problems. I don't know anything first hand.

I would like my name REMOVED from this complaint. I had nothing to do with it, do not know the individual, or the circumstances involved with the complaint.

I leased a reefer trailer to LD transfer which is now Mare Inc., with a good guy agreement and no paperwork, and was never paid a single cent. When I would call about it they would say that it was out and that they would get me some money sent over, but they had it for almost a year and a half before I repossessed my own trailer. They put almost 100,000 miles on it and never paid a penny! I am currently trying to find out where they are hauling to or from in this area or anywhere else because I know someone who is trying to repossess 15 of their trailers so any info would be great you can call Jeff @ (((ROR redacted))) Thanks!
