This supposedly "honest" mechanic is an artist in rip-off.  First he quoted a price to perform a repair and once he arrived, he started working on the vehicle and then blackmail the victim for additional money.  Furthermore, he asked for 50% down (where does a legit repair shop ask for such deposit?).   After repeated excuses (no-shows) and asking for more money, his service was abruptly terminated !!!!!

I welcome other victims of his to come forward and let us let the whole world know about his behavior and tactics.  Since these events actually happened, the victim does not fear any lawsuit from him.

This guy is just trying to save face (so to speak)...I can Understand that to a point, however, He turned out to be such a problematic customer...That I made the decision to have nothing more to do with him...I do have the right to refuse service to an otherwise difficult or problematic customer!!! And that was putting it mildly ! He honestly made my job impossible to perform, and then blamed it on me!!! He simply didn't have any understanding about any of it...I do however forgive him, for all the problems and difficulties he caused for me, and I'll continue to pray for him.

Mark gave me a quote of $1000 after I gave him the model number of the Volvos that I needed worked on.  Upon arrival he started working on the car, and THEN only told me he didnt realize the vehicle was front-wheel and he needed another $500.  Duh, why didnt he realize it was a front-wheel when the model number was already provided to him ahead of time?  Thereafter he wanted a down-payment while no legitimate shop will require that.  His EXCUSE was that his boys need to be paid (think excuse #2) unlike his story that ALL shops require 50% down why didnt he tell me this in the first place before work started?  He would typically show up @2PM what a way to start a day!  On another day he gave another excuse that he would rent an engine hoist when he had not bothered to call up with an update that he wasnt going to show up till it was already 4PM and it would take another hour to get to my house; obviously he did not show up that day when he was expected to, and that is really the turn of events going downhill because of excuses, excuses, excuses Honesty, as he claims?  Who would want to put up with excuses, excuses, excuses, and more $, $, $?  Honesty, nah?

He knew that I had a dateline of two weeks and when there was only two days left before the dateline, I demanded that he will have to compensate me for vehicle rental at $20 per day till he completes the job; he refused, even though this is logical in light of the excuses he has given?

It is not because I am mad.  I dont have the time to hear excuses and wait it out till he will show up or postpone coming.  I just want others to know his true color because all that he described on his Craigslist listing about honesty and dependable are erroneous and insincere.  His attempt at coming across as honest is just a bunch of lies.  Go figure.

All shops require 50% down on big jobs to handle opperating expences and parts...Plus I did more than half the job before I encountered problems with this guy...

I had to put the car back together to move it out of his neighbors driveway (which he said would be alright to work on it there) however, when his neighbor came home...It was not only NOT OK but this guy didn't even ask for permission to work on it there...

That alone cost me 2 more hours of work to put it together enough to move it out of his neighbors driveway(which I was not going to get payed for, but now we couldn't even move it any where to be able to work on it...

Due to the fact that I had the engine and transmissinn half out of the car already (I was performing an engine-trans swap) The whole thing went South from there...

Then he told me not to come over the next day, because he was going to be at a birthday party...(Now I had to schedule in other work for that day) Which streched partially into the next day, then the next day it was 35 degrees and raining...

Then he called me up and said that I was full of excuses...We agreed that the project would take 2 weeks (over all 5 days at this point from when I initally met him)...

Still within the completion target date...Then he started in on me on Craigslist and what? I'm supost to continue helping him while he is black balling me on Craigslist and now here on Ripoff Reports...

I called him and told him that I didn't want anything more to do with him politely...Some people just never grow up!

Also...Notice He wrote this bunk report in the 3rd person..Not even man enough to claim it!

Sad..I am going to say some prayers in his behalf.
