Marquis Fulfillment Agency Powerhouse Marketing Door to door magazine fundraiser scam Raleigh, North Carolina
A young man came to our door and said he went to a college in NC and was selling magazines for a fundraiser to go to an internship he said for the BBC in London. He said his name was Kris Allen. He was really personable and reminded us of our own son. He showed us his catalogue and we ended up giving him a check for $59 for a 3 year subscription. He said he didn't have ID but gave us his name and a receipt for the order. Long story short, nobody ever answers the phone at the number on the receipt and we have never received our magazine. Of course the check was cashed. Don't fall for this scam!
