First off, I myself am a licensed massage therapist and I would never even dream of treating my clients the way this company treats theirs. It is completely outrageous and down right disgusting.

I had signed a 6 month contract and those 6 months as well as about 2 or 3 months after that went by with no incident. However, in November 2011 I bought a new car and because of the new payment I went into Massage Heights and told them I could no longer keep coming in for massages and I wanted to cancel the membership.

The girl at the front desk said that this was not a problem as I was no longer in contract but as a "courtesy" to me they would put my account on hold for 6 months in case I decided that I wanted to continue with the massages and then I would not need to worry about signing a new contract, I could just continue with the one I had but still wouldn't be "locked into anything".

The 6 months passed and then I received a call from them stating they tried to run my card and the charge was unsuccessful. This was because the expiration date on my card had changed. I had advised them at this point that I would call back at a more convenient time to provide the new info if I decided to continue.

Less than 30 days later I received a letter from a collections company for the massage they tried billing me for even though I was no longer in contract. I called the # on the collections notice, it was not even a working phone #! I then called Massage Heights and was told that even though I was out of contract, they can continue to renew the contract if they choose to, without my consent!
They also stated they had no record of me coming in to put a hold on the account, how convenient.

Needless to say I was not very pleased but I was forced to pay the money and was assured I could still use the massage. I called today (a few weeks after making the payment) to schedule a massage for both my twin sister and I for our birthday and I was told that my massage had "expired" on 9/6/2012. How can something I paid for but never received "expire"!? After a colorful rant from me they agreed to still let me use the massage but honestly, I am so disgusted with this company I don't even want to step foot inside their doors ever again!

I urge everyone to STAY AWAY!! Pay the extra few dollars to see a private therapist who actually cares about you and your well being.
