On July 13th we went to the Portland civic center in portland Maine. It's the biggest spa show on the east coast the ad said. My finance and I wanted to just get some info, but this real nice guy James said all the right things. He sad this spa has an a.o. Smith motor, me being in the heating industry I use a.o. Smith motors all the time. Then the biggest thing he sad was these spas are American made and don't require any chemicals. This was the selling point for us. Chemical free, american made, a.o smith motors, can't get any better. We agreed on a price and he ran our credit to finance. No problem we got zero interest for 12 months. Great. The issues came when the spa was delivered two days later. The guys brought it to our home and hey also brought a spa startup kit with a DVD. The DVD was very specific, and said you need to use chemicals which we where told we didn't need to. It also didn't have a.o smith motors like he also told me. I called James the salesman on Thursday the 19th to ask him about all the differences but he failed to call me back. On Friday the 20th I received two credit cards in the mail with a credit limit of $10,000.00. My self nor my finance filled out a credit card application for these. I again called James and he told me he knew nothing about these. He said you can cancell them if you wantso I did. Next thing I know James is calling me asking for our social security numbers and our drivers license numbers. When we informed him that we don't give out this information over the phone, he got real angry and seemed to get frustrated. My finance and I informed him that we didn't want to discuss this any more with him and we hung up. He continued to call us several times to try to get the info. Again we said we wasn't giving out the info over he phone and we told him we would like to cancell the contract and have him schedule someone to pick up the spa. He got even angrier. At this point we have given them $500.00 down and still owe them for the balance. At this point we don't even want the spa anymore. As far as we are concerned they can pick it up. Tracy
